That’s probably because until now Desantis has not been a declared candidate. I will vote for Desantis in the Primary Because Trump will simply be too old if elected.
The media assassination of him will now go into warp drive.

Exactly. We will find out soon that he is an axe murderer who has had 37 affairs, some with men, that he drank too much in college and his hands are smaller than Kenny's.

A lot of big Trump donors have turned to Desantis. I doubt it will matter much. Trump will be the nominee, will likely lose in the general, and the nation will descend further into stupidity, chaos and evil.
The polling "leader" 10 months before the primaries start is the biggest irrelevancy this side of Joe Biden's Corn Pop battle. Wasn't Hillary leading Obama by 30 points at this juncture, and Jeb leading Trump, and McCain leading W. Bush, and on and on?

I'm voting for him over Trump and I hope he can get the nomination. I'm most happy I won't lose him as govenor unless he becomes president.

I’ll vote for Desantis in the Primary and of course if he is the nominee. Still on the fence about voting for Trump in the general if he is the nominee. May go 3rd party.
Either way Desantis won’t win the general. If Trump loses the primary, I believe he’ll run as an independent which will put any democrat in the White House. Yes I believe he’s that petty.

To me, there aren’t enough protest votes. I’m tired of holding my nose and voting for someone I don’t care for. And people wonder why nothing ever changes.

Letting perfect be the enemy of good is why things don’t change. At the very least a Trump presidency would be an emergency brake on the Dems barreling the country into socialist despotism.
The only way things will change quickly is after a collapse. We can then go back to being a republic with limited government and the vote restricted to people who contribute and have a stake in how things turn out. The biggest mistake in our nation’s history is letting sub 90 IQ welfare leaches vote.
I did that once. Obama became president. And look where we are now.

I’d be okay with either. I’d prefer Trump but DeSantis I think has a better chance to win.
