if your corners have trouble covering receivers, sitting back and rushing 3 or 4 is idiotic. Bring pressure and force quick decisions

flucco hates pressure so yeah let's sit back and let him make dinner before he has to choose which open receiver to throw to

You can practically SEE the moment Ben goes from "give what they take" to squeezing it.

He knew he had to score 21 in the 2nd and the pressure unravelled him.

the line is ****. Conner generally meets 3 defenders at the line.

I campaigned for OUTSIDE hire when Dick L. Left. I didn't realize Butler and Cool Shades have history together so it makes sense on why he is still here, no good sense but sense. As long as cool shades is here we will be inadequate in all departments, top to bottom. It's sad because of the talent being wasted.

Looking more and more like that they need to clean house.
 
I don’t want to hear Cam Heyward speak game after game how they have to get better. He’s been non existent along with Tuitt all season. Cam is suppose to be great, he hasn’t done ****. The whole defense is the worst I’ve seen in all my years. This team might not win another game for a month or so.

The team needs a big overhaul.
I've always respected and appreciated the Steelers for tradition. But the in house hiring is showing very little growth


But like Drink, I wanted an outside hire too. Sometimes you have to break away from tradition to forge a new one.
 
Cool Shades I’m afraid is here to stay so what we’re now witnessing is the beginning of the era of bad to mediocre football. Ben is realizing that there will be no number 3 and won’t be surprised to see him call it quits after this season.
Tomlin has been overrated since that SB win 10 years ago and now we’re seeing just how good of a talent evaluator and coach that he is.
The coaching decision to continue rushing two DL is horrible giving an average QB like Flacco all day to play pitch and catch.
The offensive game plan is just to one dimensional. Connor is a backup and it’s starting to show. We have no deep threat since Bryant has departed. Big Al as a LT is just average at best. It’s the A B and JuJu show and that’s not enough,
No running game, no deep threat, poor game plan, QB that’s closer to the end, spells mediocrity and then you mix in the ****** defense.
And I’m not confidant with our drafting as of late. We drafted Edmunds way too early for him when he was clearly a third round talent. This guy is a project!
Even with high draft picks I’m not as confident that Tomlin will know what to do with them.
The team in the offseason needs a whole new fresh approach from head coach on down. But as I said, Shades is here to stay.

Both coach buts and sphincter needs to go. I almost wish we had Todd back. Ben needs a coordinator not a ******* best friend coaching him.

Can we "Unleash Tomlin"?
 
If you want to drop guys back that's fine, but when it's not working and we keep doing the same thing over and over it is mind blowing to me. We gave up big plays we got dinked and dunked on. What would hurt trying max pressure or at least some pressure? Its like highschool level stuff.
 
I do agree that the lack of a deep threat is the biggest problem with the offense. What the hell were they thinking drafting a 5'11" slow WR and thinking he's a deep threat to replace Martavis Bryant. Washington was a wasted pick. Should spent it on defense.

This has become the “buddy coaching system” Tomlin, Butler, Ben’s BFF Fichtner and the worthless Porter who has developed no one.
Let’s not forget the legendary Danny Smith ST Coach. He must have pictures.

I dont think this team is really all that talented. We have Ben and a nice group of receivers, but we also have one of the worst defenses in the league, one of the worst coaching staffs in the league, and an extremely over rated offensive line. Our best bet is to blitz like crazy and let Ben run the no huddle and call the plays himself. Throw it 60 times. Every running play seems to be a wasted down.
 
I don't think this receiver group is that talented. There's AB and JuJu. That's it. Hell Darius Heyward Bey can't catch a cold in Alaska butt naked! They don't even dress Hunter. Washington is to slow and unathletic. And Switzer is a reject. Just some more taking other people's trash.

I would rush 11 and pray somebody gets there before the qb can get rid of it.

I don't know - I think the coaches who decided to bench the Wide Receivers and Tight Ends in the second half (at least I assume they must have been benched as they were almost unsighted after half-time) aren't any better.

For all the hate being given to the Defence, I think the Offence more to this loss. The turnover by McDonald gave the Ravens a short field, and the Offence went 3 and out just about every drive in the second half. If any one of those drives resulted in points, the Ravens may not be in a position of being able to run the clock down in the last quarter knowing a field goal puts them two scores up. At least the defence managed to slow/stop the Ravens in the second and third quarters.
