Tomlin said DeCastro was injured last evening and was being evaluated. Didn't write it off as minor or say what body part I believe. Hopefully DD is ok. Dotson returned at a good time. If Decastro is injured hopefully short term he can get more reps.

Hopefully nothing serious.

DeCastro seems to have been battling an injury all training camp and this could've been a setback.

I'm hoping short term but also agree in getting reps on down the line for bubble player(s). OUR veteran FA may be needed sooner than wanted.

Well it's why they signed Wisniewski. Even if DD isn't serious you have to say at least a week. Good opportunity for him to get kn with the starters and gel before the Giants game. And Dotson will have to learn on the go. Sounded like he had a good practice yesterday. I don't think guard is near as bad in transition as tackle. If Pouncey gets hurt Dotson probably becomes number one backup at guard.

DD = soft.

Tomlin (press conference) called it a lower body injury and it doesn't seem serious or long term.

This is kind of worrisome, he was being held out with an injury prior to this, then tries to practice and has to leave practice.

Tomlin didn't make is sound worrisome and they made no corresponding moves.

He probably just rushed back before he should have it happens.

I think that's what makes it concerning. Rushing back and having to sit out just extends the timeline.
