Dallas Cowboys release 2017 #1 pick......

Wow. Here I thought the Steelers were the only team to miss on draft picks. .......Seriously though. You don't give up on a draft pick that high and that early unless there are other issues going on.

Dang....I seem to remember a bunch of people (myself included) hoping we could get him that year.

Or they just realized that they ****** up and are not afraid to admit it.

Having battled both injury and attitude issues over the past few months, Charlton has performed like anything but a former first-round pick in his two NFL seasons. Three of his four career sacks were produced in 2017, and he has just seven starts on his resume -- having also been made inactive in the first two games of the 2019 season due to his inability to flex and outperform others like rookie fifth-round pick Joe Jackson in practice.

yeah...just like Bud....

the dude is terrible. apparently the dude plays with absolutely no motor whatsoever, and he's gained a reputation for being lazy

It's fine to move on from a bust, but if that's the case, why wait until week 3 of the season? Might be something else going on

hmmmm former 1st rounder? man we need 1 of those

The difference between Bud and Taco is that Bud is a starter and even if Bud is mediocre, the dropoff to his backup is pretty big. Taco sucks and barely plays because they have somebody better. Basically, the steelers still needed Bud for this season and the Cowboys don't need Taco and is attitude problems.

I wonder if they are trying to get Ramsey. They were after Fitzpatrick.

I think that was a potential issue with him coming out of college. I guess he hasn't learned.

Wait!! So they're not going to hold onto him for 5 years and pay him $9 Million his last year?
Or they just realized that they ****** up and are not afraid to admit it.

The Tombert way is to hang on to bad draft picks and hope a switch goes on so it doesn't look like they ****** up. It hasn't worked so far though.

at least dupree doesn't have the attitude problem. Of course he shouldn't have a reason as he isn't riding the bench

guy was a a beast in ann arbour must have attitude like david Terrell all pro player in college stinks in the pro's vs real men.

Dumb that they released him after 2 weeks. Roster was set and his salary is guaranteed. Should have dumped him in August to save some money.
No one said the Cowboys were smart.

How do we know what the drop off is from Bud to Ola? They never play him. I'll guarantee Ola or any other OLB we have on our roster can produce the .2 sacks and 2 tackles per game that Bud does for way less money.

Having been on IR for a year and injured before the season starts may have been a problem.
