Minutes after NFL Network's James Palmer reported that the veteran passer had been released by the Denver Broncos, the quarterback-needy Cowboys swooped in to announce that Sanchez had signed a deal with Dallas.

The Broncos save $3.5 million with the move and no longer owe a conditional seventh-round draft pick to the Eagles, who agreed to trade Sanchez to Denver back in March. The Cowboys, meanwhile, get a low-level dose of veteran insurance under center.

Sanchez was acquired to serve as a "safe" option in Denver after losing Peyton Manning to retirement and Brock Osweiler to the Texans. He disappointed from the start, though, and was ultimately outplayed by second-year Broncos signal-caller Trevor Siemian, who was named the starter on Monday.

This makes me laugh

Well the "butt" fumble made him famous. Now it's up to Jerry to see what he can do.

Salute the nation

Dallas was desperate. Sanchez will not cut the mustard.

Another USC quaterback who failed to make the transition to the NFL, but is kept around for reasons that befuddle the fan base. Couldn't end up on a better team, except maybe the Browns. "Snatchez gets his hands caught up on the center's package and is unable to hold on to the ball while also jiggling those of his center." - Futuristic quote I just made up, but has a probability to come true.

As long as Sanchez is in this league ill always associate him to "Booger-gate" in New York.

Sanchez is the very reason so many young men feel they too could some day be in the NFL. Thy must think to themselves, " how hard can it be, Mark Sanchez can do it".

Early in his career he was a very decent quarterback--when he didn't have to do too much. He helped lead NYJ to back to back AFC Championship games and had it not been for Peyton in 2009 and us in 2010 he would have been a SB participant QB.

He just lost his confidence in the 2011 season and never recovered

The shoulder injury in '13 did change is accuracy, but he is known to be lazy and tends to rely onot a talent set he no longer possess He had a really good Jets team in 09 and 10, but sexy Rexy put a keebosh on that the 2 years
