By Jessica Costello SteelerNation.com The Pittsburgh Steelers are headed into Week 12 going head to head against the 0-10 Cincinnati Bengals. And just like most of the season, injuries will play a big part in the outcome in this game and the rest of the season. The Steelers are in desperate need of wide receivers […]

Hey, at this point what do we have to lose? Could he be worse than Moncrief or Holton? We could always dump Paxston Lynch back to the PS. Eli Rogers might be the better choice at this point however since we need WRs NOW and he pretty much knows the system and plays the slot.

Jeepers Jessica, you've been writing about this team for quite some time and I'd think you knew the team color's. Is this your sensationalism way of getting readers ? Your article was a good article with out the hype of wrong team color's. I almost didn't read the article due to the piss poor attempt in the title to draw on the team color's. I expect better from a seasoned journalist such as yourself.

As for bringing in players, I'm all for it but then I don't have cap implications and internal knowledge of the going on with in the team or ownership long term.

I have been hoping he would join the Steelers years ago. If he is healthy I would be all for the signing. He would look good in...... Black and Gold. [emoji16]

The story has been fixed. And stop with the personal attacks on her. She is from the younger generation and they always refer to the team as yellow. No need to flip out

Yeah I get it! I just hate hearing that, but she’s a millennial so I can excuse it I suppose.
Maybe we should educate her.

To address the topic, yes I do think Pryor would be a huge uplift to our non existent offense, especially since we don’t know if JuJu and D Johnson will play Sunday.

If they were going to bring him, Eli or anyone else in, they would have already done so. They are only looking at practice squad players perhaps in hopes of finding a diamond in the rough for the future. Not bringing an actual starter in this week when JuJu and Johnson probably won't play pretty much says that they have thrown in the towel finally on this season.

I would have said no a week ago, but when you are down to practice squad guys and Holton, just about anything is an upgrade.

Eli Rogers must have some kind of red flag on him. He was reasonably productive as a slot guy and with so many teams needing good slot guys, including the steelers, there must be something keeping him off the field.

I’d be fine with Pryor. He has size and speed. He’s proven he can make some plays. His problem was that he wasn’t a good route runner and struggled when DBs got physical. Beggars can’t be choosers and at least he’s shown he can run a vertical route and catch the ball which puts him ahead of Holton.

The steelers have thrown deep plenty and while they have not all been perfect throws, on many of these attempts, the WR did have a play on the ball and couldn’t make it.

To answer the question, I really don't think so. That new WR Cain or even Eli Rogers would probably be better at this point. But if he's begging, you probably at least bring him in and if he looks serviceable at all, you offer him vet minimum.

I think it would be a good idea to have Pryor play QB this week. Everybody is hurt. Just do read option all game vs the bengals. Probably too late now but if they signed Pryor, or another ex read option QB, they could have had that package installed for this week with the extra days.

Yeah he is on the “cannot be worse than what we got” list for sure...

Also on the “biggest waste of talent ever” list as well

Tomlin preaches "the standard is the standard," but continues to trot Johnny Holton onto the field even though he can't catch a cold. I'm aware they're keeping him because of special teams, but the team is way too thin at wide receiver to have a guy out there who isn't going to make a play. It pretty much sends the message even if you aren't good at your job, there's no threat you'll lose it. It was one of the problems I had with the team cutting Skipper. He went out there and played his butt off and earned a roster spot, but instead they keep a guy like Chickillo who makes zero impact when given the opportunity.

You can keep holton exclusively for STs, cut Lynch and bring a WR

I'm beyond that point. They lost multiple receivers last week and were paper thin at the position, especially considering Holton wasn't going to make a play.

Who's going out there this week? Johnny Holton, Deon Cain, Tevin Jones, James Washington. Washington is the only NFL guy in that bunch and even he has numerous question marks.

And heaven forbid you're not native to America and call a game a match.
