Could Byron Murphy Solve Pittsburgh’s Cornerback Woes?

I would only if CB take Greedy size and skill could be as good as Ramsey I am with waiting till the 3rd for either Isaiah Jonson or either big 10 Love Notre dm or Michigan's both a bit raw would need time on the PS unless they unseat Brian Allen who then should be inactive if eligible to PS.

I'd say pairing a CB with known tackling problems with a defense with known tackling problems is suboptimal.

Watched the Ole Miss game. He had 10 tackles that game. By far his highest in the season, but while not enthusiastic, he did it when needed.

Metcalf only had 3 catches in the game, but the Miss QB seemed pretty incompetent. I couldn't tell if the lack of targets to Metcalf was due to the coverage by Greedy or just that the Miss QB wasn't good.

Recent LSU DBs taken in the 1st 2 rounds.

Donte jackson 2nd round 2018. 4 ints last year for CAR.
Jamal Adams 1st round in 2017 (S not CB)
Tredavious White 1st round 2017. 4ints and 18 PDs first year, 2 and 8 of each last year.
Jalen Collins. Only 24 games in 3 seasons. Out all of 2018.

LSU is a DB factory. I would not be disappointed with Williams, though I like Murphy a little more even though he isn't as physically gifted.

More BS for the flowerbed. Tell us Dumb *** what were Williams miss tackles to yards given in college? You don’t know and won’t look for it anyway.

You can’t even give the true numbers to feed your trolling of Davis. That’s why no one cares. Because you spew anecdotal BS.

You are too ignorant to realize Williams AVOIDANCE of tackling is the problem with his tape.

I watched a couple more games. It is almost painful to watch him avoid tackles in the A&M game. On one play, he actually gets the tackle, but only after standing right by the runner and the other guy who didn't bring him down.

Overall, he does look good in coverage. He ain't a turnover machine (8ints in college career, i think).

So hard to tell if that is because QBs are avoiding him on purpose, throwing to the other side because his guy isn't open, plan was never designed to go that way or what it might be.

If we take him it is fine. Not one person here needs to ***** when he ain't tackling any one.

For what it is worth, the play A&M tied up the game on was covered by Greedy. 2 penalties by greedy seemed to give them the game in OT (7th? Ot)

When I watched tape he was never aggressive against the run, waiting for plays to come to him...or come close before reacting.

I know your cover corner doesn't have to be a stud against the run I get that. But damn to see a play developing and not react to it..

I really would be shocked if the Steelers select him in 1. Not sure you can fix is run issues.

The more I think about it - DB isn't the top priority for the Steelers.

Call me crazy; but, I'd give up 'what it takes' to grab Ed Oliver. Seriously.

He's my 1A.

At 1B - Devin Bush - and we will more than likely need to trade up to get him too...

You can’t coach a shut down type of corner with world class speed, good height and ball skills either.

Greedy offers little cushion. Qb’s avoid him with good reason. And he’s very young

My call on Peters, and Howard being top corners was spot on. Pro bowl guys.

This give up yards and tackle type of coverage most Steeler corners play too often has to go.
