As bad as we are offensively it still could be worse (aka Denver). Denver mortgaged their future for Wilson. They gave up their 2022 1st, 2nd, and 5th round picks and their 2023 1st and 2nd round picks along with about 250 million for an offense worse than ours. Denver is scoring 15 points / game with Wilson < 60% and 4Tds to 3 Ints. Watching the game last night was painful.

I think the HC in Denver may be even more clueless than our coaching staff. Hard as that may be to believe. That guy is so far out of his depth it isn't funny. His team looks over matched before the opening kickoff.

I would like to see Tomlin replaced. However, this is what gives me pause. We automatically think it will get better. It's almost like that is a given. But there is a possibility that it gets worse.

Yeah Wilson looks horrendous, and the Broncos (at least on offense) look shockingly bad

And My GOD is Matt Ryan washed up. Not that he was setting the world on fire his last season in Atlanta, but I mean goddayumn, its like he aged another 10 years in a single offseason! Ryan HAS TO hang 'em up at the end of the year and the Colts gotta cut this bullshit of signing old farts to play qb for a season and then moving onto the next one, they must target a qb in the draft

This is a good and fair point. I would bet at this point, they miss Vic Fangio.

Most qbs don’t play until they are 40…. The Colts seem to think everyone is on Tom Brady’s “ special Program” somehow….

I think Wilson was declining in Seattle and blamed it on the team. Last night they were in FG range with 3 mins left winning 9-6. I think it was like 3rd and 5 Wilson inexplicably threw an int. No reason for a seasoned vet to make that throw in that type of game. Kick the fg make them score a TD which neither team had done to that point

as much as i hate to think it, I think having a rookie QB gets Tomlin another few years. At least in the Rooney's thuoght process.

They have talent on the offense, and Wilson didn't forget how to play the game plus he is still physically capable. This is what happens when a coaching staff is getting exposed.
I don't think Wilson forgot how to play, I just don't think he has it anymore, he looked as awful as Ryan last night. His accuracy has been very bad, and I think he's physically breaking down. Tbh I think Tom Brady was right in his recent press conference, it's not necessarily that there is a lot of parity around the league, it looks more like there is a ton of bad football being played.

Idk if this is because of minimizing padded practices, or shortened preseason, or a combination of both, but there has been a lot of sloppy bad football from the teams around the NFL

Do they have a ****** OLine? They had Javonte Williams until injury last week and it didn't help either.

I don't know. Some of the new, young coaches. I said before, that pajama boy looking guy in Miami. Man. Can he keep the team when it gets tough? And it is about to down there with the Tua stuff. The guy in Denver looks like a moron. Reich was a big deal for a bit but not so much now, huh? Taylor in Cincy...we'll see. He does dumb things. Siaranni in Philly looks like a good hire, but can he sustain it? The body of work is small. Seems like teams are looking for the next Sean McVeigh and that list might not be that big.

The biggest issue I have with Tomlin is that he’s lost our identity as a physical, intimidating football team. He talks a mean game but that’s all it is, talk.
Gone are the days of punch the other team in the face and will our way of playing.
Too stubborn to make changes as apparent with not making adjustments in the second half of Jets game on defense which Minkah even said.
The guy has been here too long and I wish we could go in a new direction.

Yep. And Mattie Ice was brutal too along with their OLine. Though both teams have a good defense.
Mitch looked better than those guys. The fans were booing and leaving during overtime

He was definitely declining in Seattle. We get a lot of Seahawks coverage where I live being so close to Seattle. Everyone thought maybe he just needed a change of scenery. Tyler Locket is a great underrated receiver, that helped make him look great all those years. And of course DK.

Gene Smith is actually lighting it up right now. Who would have thought? It’s early, but definitely the feel good/ come back player of the year so far. And you hear stuff from other players saying that the team is finally coming together now.
Makes it more interesting about Wilson

I get it but standing still actually means you are going backwards in today’s nfl.

Cowher retired but same could be said then as well.

I’ll take the chance and move forward .

It’s still early, but he looks like the worst head coach I’ve seen in a long time.

What really sleghs me is the cost to get him but also how many here were willing to take the plunge as well. I thought he was way to high priced for us and hind sight affirms that. No I am not a nostrodanus of any kind but glad as hell we didn't bite.
