I know some high schools are annual power houses in football, but Derry got their first home playoff football win over central valley tonight. It was only their second playoff win since at least the early 90s when I was there. They are now 11-0 on the year after being 5-4 last year. I think in 2013 or 2014 they were 0-10.

Very impressive turnaround for Derry and they beat a tough No. 5 seed. Tough matchup against the Quips next week, but I hope they keep this season rolling.
Yeah next week will be tough. A lot of people think Derry got screwed by only being a 4 seed after an undefeated season. Personally i feel they should have been a 2-3, but given Derrys history it would be hard for the WPIAL to put them higher.
I live near Central Valley, their football team has been tough ever since the school district formed.
