Compensatory picks are in

Brett Keisel was a 7th round pick. Hope we make the best of it.

Just curious as to what you were expecting?

Salute the nation

Without going back and looking at contracts again, I'd assumed Manny had signed big in DEN and would fetch us a mid-round pick. But he got a very modest deal. He actually got about the same money we gave Mitchell.

Wow, I had read we should get a 6th and may get up to 3 7s. Mitchell cancels out Sanders but I'm interested in the methodology that only gives us a #7 for Hood.

Where did you read we would get 4 comp picks? Everything ive heard or read suggested would get 1 or 2, an nothing higher than a 6th rounder.

While Baltimore gets a 4th and two 5th rd picks, how is it they always get multiple high comp picks? I swear they do every year.

Bengals get a 3rd and a 4th

Rams were probably expecting more than a 6th as payoff for drafting Michael Sam.

I had heard we were looking to get a 6th. I guess anything is better than nothing.

you people must be new here

Enough on Sam already. Sam can't play. Switching helmets won't help. I think his coming out has more to do with him being some reality TV like celebrity For those who care I did speak to an X Steeler on this topic. What did he say? The media is too shy to tell the truth. He says

1 ) Many of the NFL players are Christian and rather Conservative on this topic.

2 ) No QB, RB, or Receivers ( Players who get hit and sometimes caught in defenseless positions ) will come out because if he did, he would be hurt.

Any draft pick is worth something. Ours will be a very late 7th round pick.

It was on OverTheCap. They projected us with a 6th and potentially 3 7s. I guess their formula is bad.

We should have got at least one more pick, but Johnson's comp pick would have registered as the last one issued, and they had already issued 32 picks (that's all they give out). Somehow the Broncos and Patriots continue to get high round and multiple picks. Hell the Patriots even got a comp pick for Blount...personally I feel that if a team signs a player they "lost" in FA during the season, it should negate any compensatory pick. And not because it was the Patriots, but because they didn't lose them after all, at the very least they should consider it replacing themselves...

Comp picks are a sham. That's why the formula is secret. Notice how nobody is ever right on these comp picks. There are tons of number cruncher people who have had years of data to try to guess the formula and they can't do it.

That's because the formula is just formula is just the first step. The second step is Goodell rewarding favorites. EX. Formula says Pats get a 4th rounder. Then make it a 3 because Goodell is making amends with Kraft over deflate-gate.

If this process was purely by a formula, it would be made public.

That ex-Steeler must be a real tool. Someone could chop-block Sam and take out a knee or ankle.

Anybody who would intentionally do something like that is a ******* dick and deserves whatever they have coming.

It's probably kept private so that the 32 teams don't fully know it. If they did, they could probably structure contracts around landing the desired comp pick.

Whatever the reason, I just can't imagine the most successful sports league in world history, well into the billions and billions, risking all of it to bump the Pats from the 4th round into the 3rd.

I just saw a tweet saying the league made a mistake and is now giving the Steelers a sixth comp pick.
