so we all know the only important player this weekend is Kyler Murray and how he measures up...

but is there anyone else you are watching?

Is there a more useless drill than the 40 yard dash for an OL player?

UH has a couple of guys I'm interested in.

Isiah Johnson - CB - tall and fast but is a converted WR...not a day one guy (unless some team reaches) but would love him in Round 4 or 5

Emeke Egbule - LB measured in at 6'2" 245# with 33" arms and 9 1/4" hands - good athlete, made plays all over the field - likely late round guy or possibly slip to UDFA

Metcalf is going to be a beast, perfect replacement for AB long term opposite of JUJU fill the 3 4 5 WR as all fast shifty WR like cobb john brown rogers/switzer/ samuals

Iowa State’s Hakeem Butler is not only the tallest wide receiver at this year’s combine (6-5 3/8), but his hands are also a freakish 10 3⁄4 — the same size as the largest hands in the NBA. The combination of Butler’s hand zone and his impressive 35 2/8 arms give him an incredible 83 7/8 wingspan; which mean he has the arms of a person who is 7 feet tall.

I find it odd this kid isn't getting more press. If I can find a knock on him it's that he takes plays off or kinda disappears. But when Iowa State needed to score, Butler was their target. He just flat out-muscled the competition, good kid to watch.

Butler and even Boykin from Notre Dame. I wouldn't mind us grabbing either of them - of course, depending on the round.

Running Back

Justice Hill/Oklahoma State

Wide Receiver

Hollywood Brown/Oklahoma
A.J. Brown/Ole Miss
Deebo Samuel/WR South Carolina
D.K. Metcalf/WR Ole Miss
Riley RIdley/WR Georgia

prospects Steelers met with.

If I had to guess it looks like they are thinking WR has a good round 2 value....

Just don't draft anyone related to AB ..... we're gettin' rid of divas, don't need any new ones.

Some RBs ran some mediocre to ****** times. So possibly one will slide for some good value.

I know the concern, but it doesn't mean he will be like AB just because he is related.

Remember AB wasn't like AB in the beginning.

Justice Hill ran a 4.4. Unless we take him in the 2nd, I doubt he makes it to our 3rd or 4th round pick. I grabbed him on a bunch of my mock drafts in the mid-rounds to complement Conner with his speed but I didn't think he'd run a 4.4.

Riley Ridley could be a sleeper. He didn't play a lot this year but seems to have the skills to be a No. 1 WR or, at worst, a No. 2 in the NFL.

Miles Sanders RB Penn State put up some impressive numbers
5’10 211 lbs
4.49 official 40
20 reps on bench
36 vert
6.89 in the 3 cone

i was hoping he’d be available rd 3 but i don’t think so with those numbers. He can return kicks and is a good receiver. He can be a 3 down back.

Sanders was a 5 star recruit out of the Pittsburgh area.
He came out early. Sat behind Saquon for 2 years and last year was his first as a starter. Wasn’t great statistically but the PSU offense struggled because the WRs were so bad. Defenses really keyed on the run. He was bottled up a lot as was Saquon but Saquon isn’t human so he was able to make plays on his own.

Mack Wilson and Devin White have meetings scheduled with the Steelers...

Ryan Clark says otherwise. He said that he told someone in the front office if the Steelers handed AB the contract Wallace was offered they would be creating a monster. That was after year 2 for AB. So Clark saw something very early.

I thought that timeline wasn't year one or two. I guess we would have to ask Clark, but chances are he doesn't know the year either...........

I wouldn't of minded DK Metcalf in round one depending on who was available but after what he did at the combine no way he makes it to us. Raiders probably take him at 4 lol

The potential is there, the production is another story.

so is there anyone worth watching in the field drills tomorrow?

I heard Penn State QB Trace McSorley was asked to do DB drills and he refused. He measured in a 6 ft which is a bit taller than I though and he ran 4.57 in the 40.

If it was just 5 years ago, he would have definitely had to convert to DB, but with the QB protection and the rule changes that make it harder to cover the short passes, these small QBs have a much better shot.

anyone know why Quinnen Williams didn't lift today?

edit...nevemind...I see he is nursing a finger injury

that doesn't make sense. why not do all the drills asked of you to give you the best shot to get drafted...

Not sure how McSorely projects as a DB that seemed weird to me
