College Football Week 11

Youtube TV and Disney are having a spat, so SEC fans who have Youtube are not happy. Buy an antenna and you can at least watch the ABC games, just not ESPN. An antenna is cheap and it's good for a multi TV setup on gameday. Just hook it up to a cheap TV and you have yourself a second screen without need of any satellite or cable or internet hookup.

The first playoffs rankings are out. No real surprises. 1 Ohio State 2 Indiana 3 Texas A&M 4 Alabama 5 Georgia 6 Ole Miss 7 BYU 8 Texas Tech 9 Oregon 10 Notre Dame 11 Texas 12 Oklahoma

An interesting note for this week's games. NCAA has a rule where you can play in 4 games (not including post season) and still redshirt. That means this week any players who haven't played can play and keep their redshirt. We may see some new faces in lots of games this week.

2 Indiana at Penn State 12:00 FOX IU -14.5
Has any QB ever had a tougher start to a career that PSU's Ethan Grunkemeyer? @Iowa, @ #1 Ohio State, #2 Indiana. He's been OK but they've kept the passing game even more basic than usual.

Ohio State beats you with massive amounts of talent. Indiana does it with near perfect execution and schemes that perfectly fit their players. Penn State has more talent than Indiana. That's a fact. Franklin gathered up a bunch of talented players who don't quite fit together and you see that now. Cignetti brought in less talented players with specific skills to play as a team.

Indiana's defense is active, like Penn State's was under Manny Diaz. They'll bring all kinds of blitzes. How much can you put on a backup freshman QB? They threw a ton of screens vs OSU, but against Indiana they may be better suited. PSU has said they want more vertical passing. That will depend on whether the Penn State OL can hold up.

Indiana has Wisconsin and Purdue left so I would say PSU is their last hurdle, but they're more of a rumble strip this year.

Indiana could be without top WR Elijah Sarratt. He's not quite in the league of the OSU WRs but he's really good. He's a big part of their offense and has great chemistry with the QB.

Cignetti and Penn State interim coach Terry Smith friends. Will that lead to him calling off the dogs a bit if they're up big late?

7 BYU at 8 Texas Tech 12:00 ABC TT -10.5
The top 2 teams in the Big 12 meet. Big playoff implications here. TT has a loss already. If they lose this one, they may not make it into the Big 12 champ game and may not make it into the playoffs. BYU is unbeaten but they've mostly faced the bottom teams so far. Their next 3 games are against B12 contenders Tech, TCU and Cincy.

3 Texas A&M at 22 Missouri 3:30 ABC TAM -6.5
Mizz has lost 2 out of 3 and also lost QB Beau Pribula to injury. He's replaced by Matt Zollers, who was a Penn State commit at one point. A loss here likely eliminates them from the playoffs, which would be good new for Penn State if they really are interested in Mizz coach Drinkwitz. If TAM wins this one, they're essentially in the playoffs. They can lose to Texas in the last week and still get in.

9 Oregon at 20 Iowa 3:30 CBS Ore -6.5
I'm not sure how good Oregon is. They beat Penn State in the whiteout before Tony Rojas got injured and the PSU defense imploded. Solid win but looking back, not a great win. They were pretty much dominated by Indiana. Then they beat Rutgers and Wisconsin. Iowa is tough at home and they still have a shot at a spot in the B10 champ game if they can win this one.

Auburn at 16 Vanderbilt 4:00 SECN Van -6.5
Auburn fired their coach. Vandy lost their 2nd game last week so this is a must win to stay alive in the SEC and for a playoff spot.

Wake Forest at 14 Virginia 7:00 ESPN UVA -6.5

Virginia is in 1st place in the ACC just like everybody figured at this point of the year. If you're a Big 10 or SEC fan, you better root against Virginia. They if they make it into the ACC Champ game with only 1 loss, they will llkely get into the playoffs as a 2 loss runner up ahead of a bunch of 3 loss teams.

Florida State at Clemson 7:00 ACCN Clem -2.5
this game was supposed to have major playoff implications. Now neither team has a winning record. Clemson already has 5 losses. Could Dabo get fired?

LSU at 4 Alabama 7:30 ABC Ala -10.5
LSU fired Brian Kelly. Some teams play loose after a coach is fired. Kelly seemed to have lost the locker room. Never seemed to fit. LSU has lots of talent. Maybe they come out playing super aggressive. Bama is winning but it hasn't looked easy. Many games too close for comfort. DeBoer's seat goes from warm to hot almost on a quarter by quarter basis.

Navy at 10 Notre Dame 7:30 NBC ND -25.5
Navy is 7-1 so they're a good Navy team but they haven't faced a team nearly as good as ND. ND is ranked 10 in the first playoffs rankings which is huge for them. It seems they just have to avoid a major letdown in the final weeks and they'll make it in.

Nebraska at UCLA 9:00 FOX UCLA -1.5
UCLA has been much better since they fired Deshaun Foster, winning 3 in a row before getting beat down by Indiana. Nebraska extended coach Matt Rhule who has his own struggles vs ranked teams. They had ranked USC on the ropes until QB Dylan Raiola went out with a broken leg and USC came back to win. How will Nebraska fare without their QB?

Fixed that for ya!!!

Oh...I can't drink to be drunk on Saturday night AND Sunday night...

Right on point as usual.
Against the spread, I like Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Texas Tech.
Play the points with these three home teams tomorrow.
Have a great weekend, or whatever kind of weekend yinz want to have…

Could be a couple of decent games tonight.

Houston at UCF 8:00 FS1. Hou -1.5
Houston is still alive for a spot in the Big 12 title game. They need a Texas Tech loss.

Northwestern at 19 USC 9:00 FOX. USC -14.5

UH playing like they don't give a **** again

3 turnovers all season and 8 in the last 2 games...

2 minutes to go up 3 on a team they have dominated

last two drives fizzled out in the red zone and they had to settle for FGs, the 1st tied the game, the second after a clock killing almost 8 minute drive ends with a chip shot FG to take the lead

UCF pulls their starting qb and is driving to tie the game - after a stupid penalty after the FG gives UCF excellent field position

holding call on 3rd and short helps UH...even though they held..******* let the back up scramble for the 1st though

**** settling for FGs

strip sack but UCF recovers...34 seconds left...

pick in the end zone to win the game for UH

**** this should not have been close
