Army Navy today plus a bowl game at night and the Heisman.

Mendoza should absolutely win it but I have a feeling Pavia will win because southern voters tend to vote for SEC players no matter what, and they will probably put Mendoza like 4th on their ballots to push up Pavia.

Who will play for Penn State? Their best Ol Vega Ioani has declared for the draft, not sure if he's playing. On defense, I believe their best DT Zane Durant and best DB Zakee Wheatley have already opted out along with RB Nick Singleton and CB Eliott Washington who is entering the portal. Not sure if Kaytron Allen will play. I think Singleton should play. He has not had a great season but has been trending up. He can use a good game vs a top team and Yes, Clemson, in terms of talent, is a top team.

DC Jim Knowles is off to Tennessee. OL coach Trautwein is off to Florida. They are bringing over Iowa State DC Jim Heacock (who Knowles took many of his schemes from) along with Taylor Mouser OC and Ryan Clanton OL.

I hope the Alabama-Oklahoma and Miami-A&M games are as good as they appear to be on paper.

Also, the NFL should schedule games this weekend until the CFP starts playing the week after conference championship games.
 
Penn State will probably get blown out unless a bunch of Clemson players also opt out. Opting out has destroyed the lesser bowl games - hardly worth watching anymore.

I somewhat agree but he will have an opportunity to show one way or another coming up.
 
Everyone knows who the best WR in the country is, he’d go first overall if he could come out this year.

I honestly thought they were complete pretenders until they beat OSU

That’s a solid W, a defensive win but a win nonetheless.

Should be interesting to see what they do in the playoffs.

The heisman trophy is such a joke, has been for awhile now
 
The testy midget Pavia had no problem putting up stats against the allegedly great SEC, Mendoza will probably be the #1 overall NFL and Pavia will be in the XFL.

Would have loved to see if Mendoza did anything of note vs actual decent teams on a weekly basis.

His very mid sample size vs decent teams suggests probably not. Was mid out west vs crap teams and was very mid vs decent teams once he became a Hoosier
 
Indiana didn’t pad his stats in blowout games. I’m glad they gave it to the player who played at the highest level and not just a guy with big empty stats. Mendoza won with his clutch drives vs Penn State and Ohio State. Penn State didn’t have a great record but that defense had multiple future NFL players.

Plus a lot of voters were probably turned off by Pavia being a total d-bag.
