Cockrell

I know his name came up a lot in his draft year as a guy the Steelers should target. Sure they didn't draft him, but he's been a nice player added to the depth chart.

It's hard to say the secondary had a good game allowing 4 td passes, but they sure had their moments. Mike Mitchell had 3 great hits, reminding me of vintage Ryan Clark.

I just like it when he breaks up a pass or gets a pick and I get to post in the game thread, "Team X just got **** blocked"! If he takes one to the house I will use my newly copyrighted, "you can turn out the lights now, **** got all the way in and is ready to do his dance".

Don't forget to order your Steeler Nation shirts!

I'd say that little to no pressure had a more direct impact as far as the 4 td passes than the secondary and one of those td passes was a direct result of Timmons getting burnt by a WR ... Butler's fault for calling the same blitz/coverage repeatedly.

It looked as if Oakland's O-line was one step ahead of our rushers today. If we could have pressured Carr more frequently I don't think he makes some of those big 3rd down throws.

CB blitz worked a few times...I remember the days with Woodson coming from the corner. He was fearless, fast and didn't give a ****...

Our secondary is playing much better than what we've seen this time last year. Cockroach is a big part of the change. Doubt he would've even made the field if Labeau was still here.

Can't take away from Carr. The guy has good awareness. He's the difference for Oakland this season. Not gonna knock the guy he is stepping up to be a leader. It was a well fought game from both teams. On to subject. Cokrell stepped up when needed. I like him. He's ballin it out right now

you don't go in the light of the mornin

in before the Cockrell crows

Cockrell is great when playing zone and facing the QB, He is awful in man coverage. His skill set and size would make him a great ball hawking free safety. Easy Blake Oven on the other hand was awful again today.

so the Steelers backfield is half filled by gay / ****?

Sorry, had to do it.

The kid does look good. A keeper.

hes definitely better than blake.. I watched blake today , I was unimpressed.. honestly mostly by his lack of intensity

Here's my thoughts on Blake: All year I thought he sucks. But it hit me, he's just not good at man to man coverage. He is, however, athletic enough to make plays, and is an above average hitter. He's out of position. I think he'd be a very good free safety.

I understand SDS likes ****

but wut if

he likes gay **** boykin

:cupcake:

( edit didn't see Steelerfans post lol oops)

Overall he's playing well as is, dare I say it, Blake. Blake is making some mistakes but he is also making some very big plays. He needs more consistency. I'd still like to see what we have in Boykin since we are losing a draft pick for him but I never see him the game, at all.
