Cleveland clowns put restrictions on their new head coach.

I'd be big in integrating analytics, but not have the book nerd be in charge of the playbook.

Big things like clock managment, when to go for it on 4th downs, when to onside kick or run a gadget, these can all be helped with analytics.

They can also be projective guides for defenses to manage tendencies on short yardage/goal line/3rd down conversion plays.

Meeting with the owner every Monday is a bit excessive. Especially if the conversation becomes: See here, you should have done this...

Another year, three Super Bowls, then JACK ****............................... nothing unusual here in the factory of sadness.

Game plan friday, monday meeting.

Salute the nation

It is never a good idea to share command. This guy is going to get second guessed anytime anything goes wrong, and quite possibly in real time. I think this will be doomed to failure.

Maybe they should have hired DePodesta as coach, since Haslam seems to think he has all the answers. Stefanski must have wanted to be a head coach pretty badly to agree to that. He was neutered day 1.

I’m reaching out next year to see about the open coaching job for the browns. I don’t mind getting a 2-3 year Xmillion a year contract for a years work.

This just in.......
DePodesta is bringing in some more of his baseball buddies to add to the video/analytic department and the vacant GM....... AJ Hinch and Jeff Luhnow are bringing their talents to Cleveland.
Alex Cora is strongly being considered as well. He would garner the new position with the headset on game days. His talent with secret codes and garbage cans make him invaluable.... So much so ...he will probably find his services fought over in a bidding war between Cleveland and Robert Kraft Productions. Word is the Pats have the inside track as Cora currently resides in BEANTOWN

:devilish:I despise cheaters.......

So bean counters and the owner with no football knowledge are going to be running the show not the coach. Have they watched what has happened in Dallas the last several years?

I wonder what the win loss record is between owners that typically stay the **** away from football operations and the jerry jones/al davis types?

I think there are too many factors with analytics. I am a big math guy, but in my opinion alot of it depends on your team. If you have a 4th and short not every team has a Jackson/ Ingram or Henry. Those teams that go for it and make it alot skew the stats. I can get behind things like clock management and going for 2 more so than other stuff. If i was the browns i would have brought back gregg Williams and let him pick his staff. I almost feel bad for stefanski at this point.

There's a reason this is their 7th (or maybe 8th) head coach since 2010. You just can't win like that. A coach needs at least 3 years to build a team. Fichtner was the exception. He ****** up in other ways and was a good firing.

I thought they brought him in to fix Baker, but if he's just a numbers guy that locker room of divas will tune him out just like they did Freddy Kittens.

This would have been the absolute best move they could have made, luckily for us they are the browns and are too ******* dumb to figure it out.
