By CJ Lester SteelerNation.com   By this time next week, the 2020 NFL Draft will be wrapped up and analysts will be breaking down draft selections for every team. The draft is set to start at 8pm eastern time on April 23rd for round 1. Rounds 2 and 3 are set to take place the […]

Do it ! Just send it in! Make it happen!

Seriously - if we got this haul I'd be ecstatic. Higgins has been slipping of late. Seemed like he was a guaranteed first rounder up until a couple weeks ago. Still a top playmaking WR. Akers is one of the top RBs in the draft and I've definitely got a man crush on Tanner Muse - the guy was all over the field against LSU.

well if we miss out on CeeDee Lamb, D'andre Swift, and Derrick Brown with our first 3 picks ......... these guys will do....

Yes this would be an excellent haul for 2020

good draft

Sweet mock for sure.

hope it falls like this

Higgins is the guy I want the most at 49. If it happens, this O is going to be very diverse.

I seen a lot of Higgins game tape and I'm on the fence - especially if he's selected at 49.

Why? IMO, he's a boom or bust WR - is he Martavis Bryant, Sammy Watkins or Deandre Hopkins???

I wouldn't be mad, but I would hold my reservations on him until he show me continuous effort on the field (particularly blocking).

Only God knows...

I think the Steelers are many picks behind where those guys will go. Although some have Akers going to the Steelers in Rd. 2. If the Clemson kid Higgins is available, I go there. In fact if he is not I'd be happy with My pick Claypool which is also boom or bust. Why? Cause we already have a sure fire First Round talent in Fitzpatrick. Lets push the chips in here. The long term smart move is probably a Centre/ guard, or OT. But that won't push you over the top this season (provided there is one). A boom or bust, but booming wide receiver could put you over.

My favorite attainable WR in this draft is Antonio Gandy-Golden. If we go O Line in the second - he'd be my target w/ our 3rd round pick...

Share the thoughts on that mock being a very solid draft if it turns out that way. Higgins is a first-round talent in terms of physical tools, not there yet in route running or separation. He could well be the X, moving Juju back to the Y, where he excels.

Also very much like Cam Akers, who will be the 3rd down back and a potential 3-down starting back by 2021. Superb later value in Brederson, Muse and one of my favorites, Derrek Tuszka. All three are likely NFL contributors, probably starters in terms of Brederson and Muse. Muse plays fast and is always around the ball. I like Tuszka quite a bit. Guy is quick, has good bend, and is relentless in running down the QB. Superb addition that late to give Watt and Dupree a breather, work as a specialty guy rushing the passer with time to see if he can develop into something more.

That draft would give the team a starting WR, a solid 3rd down back and potential 3-down starting RB, an edge rusher/special teamer, ILB/S hybrid, an OG who is a guy likely to move in as a starter in the near future, and a very large man to play NT.

But real life always interrupts and if more than two guys are even available to the Steelers at the spots depicted, I would be surprised.

Lest anyone forget - we still have Skipper and Ola on the roster. Those are great options to give TJ and Buddy breathers...

Would be slightly shocked to see Higgins there in the 2nd.
