Ravens eye RB Trent Richardson; source says signing likely

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Baltimore Ravens are looking to bring in running back Trent Richardson for a physical and possibly sign the former No. 3 overall pick, coach John Harbaugh confirmed Thursday at the NFL combine.

"It's in the works. It's possible," Harbaugh said. "I don't think it's finalized yet. But it's a possibility."

A source told ESPN's Shelley Smith that the Ravens are expected to sign Richardson, confirming a report by AL.com, which first reported the news.

One of the bigger busts of the 2012 draft, Richardson was out of football last season after being cut by the Oakland Raiders in late August. He has struggled with injuries and his weight over his three-year career, averaging 3.3 yards per carry.

The guy who got cut from a guaranteed contract in the preseason? who was traded for a first rounder by a team that had used a top 5 pick on the guy, then had his new team dump him for being worthless? The guy who didn't spend a single down on the football field last season... because no one wanted him....

I am SOOOO envious.

They'd be better off bringing back Rice, esp. now that the heat is off.

So he's going to go from the the New Browns, to the old Baltimore Colts in Indy, and then to the old Browns in Baltimore. And he's still going to be nothing but a bust.

Wow..... solid pick up. Lmao. Guys a bum. Hope he averages 2.5 a carry and helps keep Flacco on his bacco.

Fixed it for you. Does anyone here really think that the Gayvens are going to ride this guy far......... They will sign him cheap and take a chance on him. Might be a CHEAP keeper that is affordable with Joe "elite" flacco contract.......

Flacco on his bacco....You win the internetz for today.

What if for some odd reason little Cleveland Brownie Trent has a good season. I mean we've seen weirder **** happen in the NFL

That is EXACtLY what the ratbirds are hoping. CHEAP pick up with potential.. One thing for sure, he won't be getting his "BIG" yards against us.

to be honest, i thought he was ok in Cleveland. when the Colts got him, i thought he'd thrive.

then i watched him play.

dude is slow. very slow. has no vision at all. he couldn't see a hole develop for the life of him. even if he did see a hole open up, he'd be much to slow to get to it.

Because by the time that he got there it'd be closed!
