I’m trying to tell you bringing in a Brandon Aiyuk could very well be more trouble than it’s worth.
I absolutely do not want to give up premium draft picks and starters for this guy.
And I think giving him the contract he wants and making him the number one receiver will cause problems with Pickens. If you’re ok with losing him ok because they won’t pay big contracts to both guys and Pickens has been number one this summer now he has to take a backseat, nah.
Compare both their numbers from last season and they aren’t far off from each other and consider that Pickens played on a far less talented team with bad QB play and scheme.
If Pickens played on the Niners can you imagine his numbers?
Nah, I’d rather not do this deal and go after a number two guy maybe even later on. If not Burks wait and see if you can make a trade for a number two before the trade deadline.
The smarter move is to try and get a number two WR. Less compensation and keeps Pickens happy.
