I hope it gets done sooner than later so that it benefits the Steelers.

I hope they reject the CBA as its been offered. Don't want the season extended any amount of games. The current formula isn't broken. They can work out the other differences but adding games to the schedule is pure greed when the league and owners have changed rules to favor player safety.

Article yesterday was saying how many owners hope the players turn it down. They think they gave up too much and want an 18 game season (not 17).

If the players don't get in trouble for weed, they'll sign on for 20 games.

Ok 17 games but the players can't participate in more than 16 so you have to move pieces here or there to balance fhe 17 games knowing you will have to play backups in a moment or other. Also, expand the damn roster

We as the general fan / public don't get even a whiff of whats in the contract until it's signed. I believe the GREED MACHINE is making it way to easy and they have a hidden agenda somewhere. Dangle the carrot sort of thing. 17 & a +1 playoff games is NOT enough to satisfy the huge amount being given up. We also don't know about the discipline / fines / maryJANE / cheating / ect. ect..

Eventually it will all come out and there will be give & take. RIGHT now the practices & TC are going to be WAY softer and on field product will correlate that.

I think the vote is this friday.

The # of guys that dress per game, team rosters, practice squads are all being expanded, I don't know the exact numbers, but it would be a total of nearly 300 extra spots (jobs).
The number of padded practices are being lowered again. The length of training camp is being lowered, the first week of camp is to be used as an acclimation week.

For me if I was a player I would want the rosters definitely expanded and have more active on game day. So clubs had a better chance of rotating players in and out. Preaching safety and then making the players play extra games is clearly head shaking. This is the issue that the players should be bitching and uniting as a group over. Because let us be honest taking away preseason games isn't doing vets who play sparingly in them to begin with any favors.

I think the whole thing has grown too big for it's own good. All that I care about is the team competing for championships. They haven't done that **** in a.long time,so I honestly could care less who makes what on either side. The cheating **** and turning a blind eye to it did me in a long time ago.

hard to have a strong union when some members make waaaaay more than most of the others
i hope it passes just so i can quit hearing about it for 10 more years
i also wouldnt care if it doesnt pass and they can strilke/shut out next year and go without.
id like to see the owners stick it to them and reduce the share down to 40%. 'take it or we'll find player that will.'
seriously, how many nfl players are actually qualified to get a real job?

IMAGINE what this would do for the XFL !!!!!!!

The XFL just may have stumbled or planned into something bigger than first thought. TRUETHFULLY, I watched a full game (YouTube) last night and didn't miss a beat in comparison to the GREED MACHINE NFL. In fact it was better as the game flowed and didn't get flag happy interrupted. A big play and I actually could cheer instead of waiting to see if flag was thrown or not.

I still don't get the part where the NFLPA only gave players bits and pieces of the CBA to read but assured them they would get the full contract in time to read and understand it. WHY not give them the full "monte" to begin with......... It was like trying to keep players from coloberatecoloberate and discussing among themselves for ideas Ect............

I'd never let any ******* union strong arm my company. That 40% sounds about right. Everyone is replaceable. A **** ton of men will line up to make that kind of money all day.
