Man, if Kahn could work some more magic. . . he would be a nice addition, but pricey.
He made himself un-tradable between his current cap and the fact that he wants a huge restructured deal… it was expected they were going to have to cut him if they wanted out… now he will get his contract from someone who didn’t have to give up assets

That's only because Kyler could never see him.
Not a Steelers discount no. But most teams have a lot less to spend in this phase of the rodeo. So he will cost sure, but might not get a jackpot.

I immediately thought that too but couldn't find a cost justification (unless Hopkins comes cheap) with Odell and Flowers there.

You are likely right; which is why I went with the "sneaky' reference. That SB early can make a QB tons over an NFL lifetime. Wonder if he would bite on taking less to get Hopkins. No idea really. But Hopkins running on solo coverage opposite the big dawg is a scary thought!

No more crazy when we got rid of AB in the trade to the Raiders.
I can see that being a big possibility. I think their mighty midget will be elsewhere next year.

I think AB’s malcontent cost us near that 22 mil. Hopkins went out on a peaceful not, leastways externally.

As long as he doesn't end up in the AFC North, I don't care.
It was non-guaranteed so I think he gets none of it. Team just takes the cap hit.
The 22 million was his signing bonus, an option bonus and them renegotiating his contract to push more money out last year after they signed him… it was all already paid…
