Cardinals make female LB coach.

If your team can not attract viewers and attendance you have to try other ways.
 
I'm sorry, but I'm not impressed with this move at all. Congrats for the first female coach in NFL history, don't let the door hit you in the *** when preseason ends. She's only an interim coach for preseason. Just NFL posturing showing they're connected with females and their desire to coach, as long as it's not during the regular season.

If it elevates women to eventually become coaches, or if she can parlay this into an actual coaching job, then that will be great for women. Right now, it just feels empty to me.
 
Funniest part is the news story that comes with it, saying how she was first female in pro league not to be a kicker. Shows her taking a carry and a rb, gets tackled and thrown to the ground like a ragdoll lol


Kudos to her though, obviously loves the game.

Im not buying anything the NFL is selling in regards to women. Its so insulting. Hey lets wear pink for boobs in October, get a chick somewhere in the coaching ranks and feel free to beat the **** out of them.

I'm glad that she has an opportunity, but no more happy that I am for any other coaching intern this summer. Hopefully they can all lands jobs in the future.

Here's the truth. We won't see woman coach in the NFL, before there is a woman head coach in the CFL or OC / DC in D college for a major program.

I think it will happen over time. Just not now.

I'm glad she's got a job. It's great for her, but let's not pretend the NFL is doing anything amazing here. This is pure publicity. Let them give her a contract and honor it. The fact is, she's probably as good a coach as any man they can put in there. You don't need to be able to lift 300 lbs to teach a player the game or to help him break down game film. You don't need to be able to run a 4.3 40 in order to tell a CB that he covers for **** or that he needs to be aware of his relationship on the field in regards to his safety at all times.

The truth is, women multi-task better than men, pure and simple. They're built to do it. **** they're probably BETTER at coaching genetically. Ya. I said it.

I'm waiting for a woman to coach a men's team in hoops. At least they play the game at a fairly high level. If I had been running a mid level college hoops team, I'd have taken Pat Summitt as a coach.
