Many don't know the NFL without instant replay but the best thing the NFL could do to improve the game is to shitcan the whole review process and terminate officials who make bad calls. It has gotten freakin ridiculous and slows up the games. I'm sure the networks would fight it because it allows for more commercials.

Replay is fine... the issue is that they don't have refs in the booth that are allowed to call plays. Slo motion Tv has exposed refs as unable to keep up with the speed of the game... no replay just means a **** ton more bad calls that cant be fixed

I think the refs use it as a crutch. They make safe calls and know they have a safety net. I still think this should be a game with extremely high momentum but in my opinion, replay has a tendency to slow it down to watching bowling and they will occasionally still screw up the call so what's the point of having it at all.

I guess I just knew and was accustomed to the game prior to any replay and I have gone from a devout proponent of instituting it to absolutely hating it in its current form.

DAn rooney wanted the official in the booth to make calls on the field and be part of the discussion on the field... the bigger issue with refs these days is that there are too many subjective rules... they cant see it all and the rulebook they get is as big as the Bible with all its clarifications....
