Can anyone explain this?

The three way tie with the ravens and Browns was being broken by Mutuel win %... the Browns split with us and lost to the ravens in their only game while we split with the ravens and Browns... that unplayed game gave the ravens the win if it was us 3, but since the ravens and Browns play the last game of the season if we won out we would have won the division regardless since one of those two had the loss and we had a better division record than one and a better conference record than the other... I believe in each of the past 3 years we were in position with 3 to 5 games to go to get the division if we won out and each time blew a winnable game... so Atlanta :(

pffftttt.....the "smart" posters here have already told all us of that playoff talk is all "fantasy".....you poor dimwitted ******** that still care......

As for the bengals, if we win out we beat them once more... they finish at best 10-5-1 for a win% of .656... we finish 11-5 for a win % of .688

But the sad point is not one other AFC north team has lost to a NFC team and we have dropped 2... that's the difference between having the conference bye in sight even with a crap D and fighting for the last wild card or the 4th division spot

If this team doesn't play more than the fourth quarter, playoffs are just a wet dream. I sure hope I'm wrong though

Every other team in the division has been able to take FULL advantage of the worst division in football in the NFC South, expect the Steelers.

It may be that reason among all others that would make not winning the division or missing playoffs altogether most difficult to accept.

There is no reason for the Steelers not to make the playoffs with this ****** schedule. I said they'd be 10-6 and they are right there. They have Atlanta, another bungles game and KC who have lost 3 in a row and may lose out and finish 7-9. There isn't a great QB in the bunch.

That is the scary part, they have lost to teams that are sucking like a black hole and made some that are having some real problems look good. They have the chance to be something this year, what it is is still up in the air.

True but there are no 2 win teams on the schedule. The rest are average to below average teams. Atlanta will be coming off a short weak after they get blasted in GB.
