Right now, in the division standings, we are third, behind Baltimore.

Right now in the Playoff standings, we are the 6th seed, ahead of Baltimore.

We have a better division record at 3-2 compared to 2-3. we have a better conf. record at 7-3 compared to 4-5 (this one is the one that stands out the most to me).

If you go to common opponents, Balt was swept by Cinci, beat Carolina, lost to Indy, beat Tampa, beat Tenn, beat NO, and have been Clev once.

We split with Clev, have beat Cinci once, beat Carolina, lost to Tampa, beat Indy, beat Tenn, lost to NO.

That's the same record against common opponents. So, why are they ahead of us in the division but not in the playoff standings? We win the tie breaker with them based on win % in division games, shouldn't that hold true... you know, IN THE DIVISION as well?

Nfl.com has Steelers 2nd in division, ahead of Rats; because of division and conference records, I think.

you sure they don't have us both at 2nd in the division?

they would be listed 1st due to alphabet...

haven't seen it but....

NFL.com must have just changed it, both ESPN and NFL.com had us third just a few minutes ago when I was typing this.

All I know is I have to root for the Patriots tonight. God grant me the strength....

NE is going to lose intentionally, just because they are dicks.

There are no tie breakers in regular season. Win Loss record is all you get. If it is a tie, it is a tie.

Steelers win out 11-5
Cincinnati is now 8-4-1. They would finish 10-5-1
Steelers Division record would be 4-2
The Rats are 2-3 in the Division and one game left with the Brownies.
Steelers still need to win out and (gulp) need help from the Cleve Brownies to win the Division. Has Cinci beat the Brownies twice?

Cinci has Cleveland, then Denver, then us at home

If Pittsburgh(3-2 in the division) wins out we win the Division per division record.....Rats(2-3 in the division) already have one more loss in the division as of now.

We do not neeed help from anyone to win the division. We win out we win it at 11-5 which would trump Cincy's 10-5-1. B'more could possibly go 11-5 also but not as good a division or conference record as Steelers.

**** the rats, we are now in second place in the division. We win out, we win devision, plain and simople.

Salute the nation

**** the *ats! They need to lose tonight. Never ever root for the *ats!
yep, we take care of our business this game doesn't matter, but I don't want to see the *ats with homefield

Exactly, it's harder for them to cheat away from home.

I've been told from people on the street that you can not rely on anything ever posted on nfl.com at any point in the season, past, present or future.

Thought the cops told you to stay off the street?

If the Steelers win out, they win the division. Second place right now.

I know, I wrote a thread on it last week that I got "flamed" about...

The Bungles tie throws things out of whack a little bit because they'll have one less loss if things get close at the end.
