By(e): G.Stryker So it’s the bye week for Pittsburgh, and Green Bay, and Oakland, and Seattle. *That’s 4 teams not playing football this week, and there’s nothing wrong with that. *Those 4 teams get to rest and recharge during the seventh week of the season, 6 games played and 10 more to go. *Still too […]

They should have a bye week after week 5 and week 10. Everyone is on a bye week at the same time.

Weeks 6, 7 and 8 are against division opponents. Weeks 14, 15 and 16 are against division opponents.

During the 2 bye weeks, the NFL and NFLPA sponsor player lead football clinics and community outreach programs. Heavily advertised and covered.

Ditch preaseason and allow more contact in preseason practices.

I asked a long time ago why bye weeks weren’t spread across the middle four weeks of the season and someone said it was due to TV ratings. I think when the NFL first had bye weeks they were the middle two weeks of the season.

It has to do with TV methinks. Personally enjoying a Sunday without a house full of my Steeler friends screaming, cussing, yelling etc., at the TVs. Today is stress free, last Sunday took years off my life

what pisses me off is that, by week 9, we will have played 5 of our 6 division games.

This makes too much sense. It will never work.

No byes. Just football.

If they want buys, NFC has a week off. AFC has next week . or, both have the same week and not have games for 1 week.
