So I sit here with a full belly thankful what is given, but sad of what has been lost. But probably a familiar story for many this year no doubt. (Lost another Doberman (Skye) recently- down to 1. Never seems to get any easier for each loss) Now as the draft approaches let us see if we can dig into some buy or sells.

Steelers will stick with their formula of power 5 -junior in the first round.
Under Tombert they have never drafted outside of the power 5 in the first round. The last time was before Tomlin. (BigBen) It remains to be seen if it is a junior but if things are equal....

CB Trevor Williams will surprise and make the final 53.
He was picked up late season and was pretty steady Eddie until injuries threw the train off the track.

Steelers will either trade down in round 1 or trade up in round 2.
Needing seemingly more players than quality picks will bring in.

(Put the Bunny back in the box)

Steelers will draft a QB somewhere within the draft.
Ben's last season (probably), could be Rudy's last season in the Burgh (maybe). Haskins might be just a training camp look.

A RB will be selected no lower than round 2.
I would presume the starting RB isn't on the roster.

A ILBer will be drafted before a OLBer, buttttt the Steelers will draft one of each.
Vince is gone Bud is gone ahhh but which way does the pendulum swing? The defense is arguably built on pressuring the QB. At the same time Vince's presence will be missed.

(Why couldn't you put the bunny back in the box?)

At LT you would rather have a run blocking force who is a work in progress as a pass blocker over a pass blocking force who is a work in progress as a run blocker.
We will call this the Samuel Cosmi VS Tevin Jenkins debate.

You have watched one Yinzher podcast.
They had some draft discussions so if you haven't tuned in worth a listen or two. Something about a female Steeler fan talking the draft that just does it for me.

The Steelers will draft a WR again somewhere within the draft.
Interesting thing is the amount of attention they have already shown in the return game. With the Steelers usually liking to draft them a WR it makes me wonder.......

The Steelers are 4 starters short and the draft will Meatloaf us 2 out 3 starters (this) season - which ain't bad.
A tall task especially for a rookie. to start out of the gates. But two immediate starters isn't mission impossible is it Ethan?

Did you run the gauntlet? My usual movie/song references mixed in, because why not?

Buy...and if you look at the pro days Tomlin/Colbert visited, there is no reason to believe otherwise.

CB Trevor Williams will surprise and make the final 53.
Sell...I think Haden, Sutton, Layne, and Pierre will make it. The Steelers will also take a CB in the first four rounds and they'll be the fifth.

Steelers will either trade down in round 1 or trade up in round 2.
The Steelers get their players they want. I don't see them trading down in the first. I could see them moving up in the second with a future mid-round pick, but unlikely.

Steelers will draft a QB somewhere within the draft.
If the right guy falls, yes. You can't eliminate the possibly of taking any good player, ever.

A RB will be selected no lower than round 2.
I expect it, but strange things happen in the draft and they won't force a round 4 guy in the second...they will in the third.

A ILBer will be drafted before a OLBer, buttttt the Steelers will draft one of each.
I think they need to. Again, the right players will have to fall.

At LT you would rather have a run blocking force who is a work in progress as a pass blocker over a pass blocking force who is a work in progress as a run blocker.
I'm leaning toward Jenkins the closer we get to the draft. I'd be happy with either.

I have.

The Steelers will draft a WR again somewhere within the draft.
They're signing a bunch of receivers, so I think they're trying to find a diamond in the rough. With so many other needs, this may be the year they pass on WR unless someone good falls.

The Steelers are 4 starters short and the draft will Meatloaf us 2 out 3 starters (this) season - which ain't bad.
They'll get at least two starting capable players and a third who will play a significant role. That does not mean they will necessarily start, just be capable when called upon.

Almost a foregone conclusion unless all the three RBs are gone.

Will it be 53 or 56? I have not heard whether the expanded roster and practice squads will continue until COVID has been likely eliminated. In any case, TW could make it, as we’ve lost two corners. But drafting another DB for slot duties could be in the mix with one of the 4th rounders. (Shawn Wade????)

Steelers will either trade down in round 1 or trade up in round 2.
Needing seemingly more players than quality picks will bring in.

If all three backs are gone, maybe. But, if one of those premium OTs are available they will grab one.

Nope. Not enough picks, too many openings for depth. None of the QBs remaining would do anything this year anyway, so why waste the selection?

A RB will be selected no lower than round 2.
I would presume the starting RB isn't on the roster.

Your presumption is accurate, as there will be no starting RB available after pick 55.

A ILBer will be drafted before a OLBer, buttttt the Steelers will draft one of each.

I‘ll put a quarter on Galaga for the next game in the arcade as a seconded for your statement.

Cosmi....all the way.

I’ve watched three episodes! Very enjoyable to hear their points of view! Someone tell Jordan to turn her mic up, she gets drowned out during discussion.

Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full. We have 5 players, 4 who won’t be beaten out by any rookie. However, a priority UDFA will be a WR. I’m guessing UF Tevon Grimes 6’4 and a huge target.

Your question by the dashboard light..2 starters immediately?....”let me sleep on it till the morning light”..

Actually like 3 to 4 slot possibilities. I think we will see one in the 3 to 4 area. Didn't read anything on a 56 roster but all for it. One more game added it wouldn't be a stretch to think a few more injury possibilities before seasons end for teams.....sleep on it? Stop right there, I gotta know right now!

(DIC) Sorry for the loss and its hard as they have been your loyal friend since day one. Remeber the good O'l times.

Steelers will stick with their formula of power 5 -junior in the first round.
Under Tombert they have never drafted outside of the power 5 in the first round. The last time was before Tomlin. (BigBen) It remains to be seen if it is a junior but if things are equal....

(DIC) BUY as I don't expect Tomlin to differ from his earlier stratagy. Value

CB Trevor Williams will surprise and make the final 53.
He was picked up late season and was pretty steady Eddie until injuries threw the train off the track.

(DIC) Buy, cheap

Steelers will either trade down in round 1 or trade up in round 2.
Needing seemingly more players than quality picks will bring in.

(DIC) Sell, The STEELERS will get their man in 1.24 and patience will allow them to get their 2 on their board in the 2nd

(Put the Bunny back in the box)

(DIC) I had a girlfriend and she went by bunny so I ALWAY wanted to put it in the box................

Steelers will draft a QB somewhere within the draft.
Ben's last season (probably), could be Rudy's last season in the Burgh (maybe). Haskins might be just a training camp look.

(DIC) Sell, they will go for major QB next draft, they may sign a camp QB yet this off season. They are going with the three Ben / Rudolf / Dawane

A RB will be selected no lower than round 2.
I would presume the starting RB isn't on the roster.

(DIC) Buy Definatey rnd 1.24 or rnd 2 and you are correct that the starter isn't on the roster yet.

A ILBer will be drafted before a OLBer, buttttt the Steelers will draft one of each.
Vince is gone Bud is gone ahhh but which way does the pendulum swing? The defense is arguably built on pressuring the QB. At the same time Vince's presence will be missed.

(DIC) Sell, one or the other but doubtful on both. I think we have someone in the wings waiting to step forward in TC

(Why couldn't you put the bunny back in the box?)

(DIC) Sometimes the it's good to be out of the box

At LT you would rather have a run blocking force who is a work in progress as a pass blocker over a pass blocking force who is a work in progress as a run blocker.
We will call this the Samuel Cosmi VS Tevin Jenkins debate.

(DIC) That's a tough call and I think it depends on who's there 1.24, I really like the KICK *** **** you prisoner attitude of Jenkins to I go with him and work on his pass blocking skills

You have watched one Yinzher podcast.
They had some draft discussions so if you haven't tuned in worth a listen or two. Something about a female Steeler fan talking the draft that just does it for me.

(DIC) The YinzHers have come a long ways in the good since their first podcast. Having Aditi definately upped their game. I'm very respectful of the ladies but still is nice to hear the opposite sex's opinion and knowledge. To many guys think they know it all and blah blah blah where as the Ladies know their stuff but make it fun as well.DEFINITELY well worth the listen and I feel they will keep getting better.

The Steelers will draft a WR again somewhere within the draft.
Interesting thing is the amount of attention they have already shown in the return game. With the Steelers usually liking to draft them a WR it makes me wonder.......

(DIC) Buy, injury and prime weapon.

The Steelers are 4 starters short and the draft will Meatloaf us 2 out 3 starters (this) season - which ain't bad.
A tall task especially for a rookie. to start out of the gates. But two immediate starters isn't mission impossible is it Ethan?

(DIC) I think we get three starters but not sure who. LT & RB would my thought on two but as for the third it depends on who they target and when.

Did you run the gauntlet? My usual movie/song references mixed in, because why not?

(DIC) In my spirit world the gauntlet is always facinating because it varies on what the obsticles are. Sometimes we have people of our past asking questions and other times we have weapons involved but mostly in my spirit world we have visions.

THANKS for doing these slash, always a good time

Buy 100%
CB Trevor Williams will surprise and make the final 53.
He was picked up late season and was pretty steady Eddie until injuries threw the train off the track.
Sell, have no idea who he is, my money is on Pierre

Steelers will either trade down in round 1 or trade up in round 2.

Buy (hopefully)
Steelers will draft a QB somewhere within the draft.
Ben's last season (probably), could be Rudy's last season in the Burgh (maybe). Haskins might be just a training camp look.
Sell, unless Lance or one of the top guys magically falls

A RB will be selected no lower than round 2.
I would presume the starting RB isn't on the roster.
Sell, round 3 might be in play unfortunately

A ILBer will be drafted before a OLBer, buttttt the Steelers will draft one of each.
Vince is gone Bud is gone ahhh but which way does the pendulum swing? The defense is arguably built on pressuring the QB. At the same time Vince's presence will be missed.

Buy, they have faith in highsmith so they go ILB first.
At LT you would rather have a run blocking force who is a work in progress as a pass blocker over a pass blocking force who is a work in progress as a run blocker.

I'll go with the bulldozer, pick Jenkins. Cosmi might even fall a bit to the 2nd round

yeap, I have. The one with the other sports reporter, very talented girls all of them plus nice eye candy too
The Steelers will draft a WR again somewhere within the draft.

Sell, this time they get a TE in late rounds instead. With Juju back as your "vet" WR, Claypool and DJ are still kids too who need to be developed, Washington is the same age as Juju. When would the rook see any playing time? They need to develop both Pool and DJ

The Steelers are 4 starters short and the draft will Meatloaf us 2 out 3 starters (this) season - which ain't bad.
A tall task especially for a rookie. to start out of the gates. But two immediate starters isn't mission impossible is it Ethan?
Let's see,
CB: Horn or Farley (could fall due to the surgery) in the 1st should be an inmediate starter. Samuels at Nickel in the 2nd round too.
OT: most of them in round 1/2 could be inmediate starters at RT and some of them at LT.
RB: the 3 top guys are starters, then you have Carter, Gainwell and Sermon. Of this 2nd group though not ideal anyone could become an inmediate starter due to lack of incumbent competition.
C: From the 2nd round until the 4th you could get Dickerson, Humphrey, Myers, Quinn Meinerz or Hill, all of them could beat Finney I think.

2 out of 4 is very doable I think, but probably we will need to invest 2022's 3rd rounder to secure one of these

Steelers will stick with their formula of power 5 -junior in the first round.

I agree with power 5. I dont think Junior will be a litmus test.

CB Trevor Williams will surprise and make the final 53.
WHO? no seriously ...

Steelers will either trade down in round 1 or trade up in round 2.
Disagree, i think they will stand pat. With Colbert and Bens looming departure, i feel that the Steelers don't want to saddle the incoming GM with a shortage or detriment. So i dont think they will trade up. I also think their needs are many, however they cant afford to miss with this first pick (an offensive pick for bens last hurrah.

(Put the Bunny back in the box) - wtf does this mean

Steelers will draft a QB somewhere within the draft.
Disagree. I think they NEED to draft a QB ,,, but lets face it after Trask and or Mac Jones. They are also rans , and we have 2 of those , who have yet to prove otherwise.

A RB will be selected no lower than round 2.
Disagree. Value at RB can be had in 3rd and 4th. Honestly if they came out and drafted Etienne williams or Harris in Rd. 1. I wouldnt be heart broke. But i feel there are other backs they can get. Jefferson from Oregon. OR even Sermon from Ohio St.

A ILBer will be drafted before a OLBer, buttttt the Steelers will draft one of each.
I think they would draft an OLB before ILB. They are usually harder to come by. But just thinking about it,, we are quite weak at OLB with Bud AND Ola leaving.

At LT you would rather have a run blocking force who is a work in progress as a pass blocker over a pass blocking force who is a work in progress as a run blocker. ....... Neither i want both. But given the push for "All IN" We need to protect ben, I think he is getting quite brittle.

You have watched one Yinzher podcast.
I'd rather listen to a podcast of TMC taking Cooch to the woodshed. I have some opinions on this. Ill keep them to myself.

The Steelers will draft a WR again somewhere within the draft.
Disagree. Their stable is loaded. May sign some camp bodies etc. Vet looking for a home....

The Steelers are 4 starters short and the draft will Meatloaf us 2 out 3 starters (this) season - which ain't bad.
I think you are correct here. Rd. 1 and 2 for sure,, They Need to hit on these 2 picks. They better come in and rock it. Or the Steelers chances will be flying the coop , Like a Bat out of Hell.

Got damn it isn't disagree it is "buy or sell" wink wink nudge nudge. All kidding aside you made a good point about OLBer they lost two. CB the same. So we will probably more than likely see one of both. What you don't know put the bunny back in the box? You have to be con -air-ing me.🤓 **** a TMC podcast just focusing on the draft would be money in the bank. BTW he is the one who mentioned Williams which made me focus in on the back. A lot to like there. Trevor is the corner we picked up when Joe Haden took a Covid break. He has starting experience. But multiple injuries derailed his career. We all want both at LT it is just usually they start off stronger in one area. But big dot showed us that thinking can change quickly. I think one aspect harder to teach is aggressiveness at the same time you can't teach athleticism. So it will be interesting what T they take and where.
