Here is a first round pick going into year three showing zero improvement in technique, tackling or where the ball is . Make or break comments is lame at best. Last week did not start was still trying to make the tackle when fumble occurred, which replay shows he had no clue had happened. His first react ion stand up yell at the players to follow him to the end zone and have picture taken. Steelers had not one a game, had not won this game but first though out of Burns demonstration. So is it the coaches have no control or Burns blinded by being the number one pick and playing like a fifth rounder. Now he knows he needs to get better, where was this though beginning of last year. Watching replay of Tampa game he absolutely stank the rest of game as well as week before. If Tomlin can't decide who to paly than why in the world our the Steelers not addressing the problem by bringing in some one that can do better?

Because the Steelers believe ALL their draft picks are solid gold and so much better than anyone else's that they would rather hold onto and coddle them for years and years rather than admit they made a mistake in drafting.

We have more than enough evidence to support this from recent history alone, and it always seems to be on defense they miss the boat. Stick to drafting offense.

They need to admit they lost touch in drafting D and get some high quality DB free agents right away. There is no 5 year plan when you need to win NOW.

I dunno I am all for giving Sutton a start and see how he does...

I felt at the very worst Burns would be a solid corner. He is horrible. Even the fumble he caused. Did you see where he had his head on that tackle? Jesus my bantam teams kids tackle better than that.

I am as frustrated with Burnts as everyone else. The guy has physical skills but can't seem to get it together "above the neck". Seems the team is too since they have rotated Burns with other CB's. None of the others on the roster appear to distinguish themselves anymore than Burnts. In short, the replacement isn't on our roster. So, why not bring someone else in? Okay, fine. who? I'd venture to guess that anyone sitting at home at this point isn't on an NFL roster for obvious reasons. Trade? What team has a spare CB to trade and will do so at a reasonable price? What do we have to offer in return? And, fwiw, just because a trade hasn't happened doesn't mean it wasn't explored but no viable trade partners found.

Looked like he had it on the football to me.

I'm just glad he's not Blake...

Or as I've been saying for a few years, they keep bad draft picks around hoping a light comes on so it doesn't look like they made a mistake. They give them every chance to fail and often they do. At least they didn't try to re-sign Worilds and Uncle Jarvis because "they know the system".

Burns has regressed this year. He's not looking back for the ball and he's just getting Burnt. Its pretty sad to watch. I hope he can get his **** together but to me that's the weakest spot on the field for us

Sure. But, If you were going to teach someone to tackle that would stiil be the this is not how to do it video. His eyes were to the ground. Chest parallel to the ground. Arms swimming above his body.

Anyone know his contract details and his salary next year? Wondering if it will make him expendable if he doesn’t improve.
