By Justin McGonigle

Martavis Bryant who hadn't been allowed to practice with his teammates has finally been given permission by the NFL. Bryant was reinstated in April on a conditional basis. A clear reason as to why Bryant was restricted when the Steelers arrived at camp was never given by the NFL or the Steelers. It's safe to say that he hadn't met one or more of the previsions that the NFL set out for him. Several sources suggested that he hadn't set up a sufficient therapy program.

A short time ago the Steelers released the following statement from General Manager Kevin Colbert:

Martavis Bryant has been informed by the NFL that he is now permitted to participate in all preseason activities, including practices and games. He will continue to be evaluated as to his readiness to participate in regular-season activities under the terms of his conditional reinstatement.

Bryant will have to stay out of trouble and continue to comply with the league office until the preseason is over. At that time if he has done all the NFL has asked he would be reinstated completely.

Good news! He will have a ridiculous good season

Big. Very big. Not sure but it almost sounds like there is one more hoop/review before the regular season.

Good grief. About time. Please walk the line. Now the next time I see some NFL player beat the **** out of his old lady I want to see his *** go through twice as much bs that Bryant had to go through for weed.

Ridiculous he should be fully released even for the regular season games.

******* Godell will always be a big ******* tool.

can you imagine if he is really clean. could you really picture a randy moss like receiver on the same team as an AB? who do you dbl? who is wide open? and Bell in the backfield? sick

We needed him against the damn pats....he better show up every game.

Great news but I would not be surprised in the least if Goddell drags his feet again and Bryant ends up missing a game or two of the regular season.

I really don't think 'the Rog' has anything to do with it. While this article is only speculation, it makes perfect sense to me.

So, there are a few situations that we might be dealing with here. Either Bryant and/or the team had somehow failed at first to properly submit his clinical procedures to the league for confirmation; the league had been seriously dragging on confirming said procedures; or there was a difference of opinion between the parties as to what constituted appropriate procedures, leaving open the possibility that the provided statement was not entirely accurate.

I think you meant PRE-SEASON, as he isn't fully cleared for regular season yet..................

The "rog" strikes again.

I copied and pasted this from another comment at bottom of artickle, makes sense

""""""!!!. If people are being honest, they know he'll be reinstated to play in the regular season and then fully reinstated later in the season if he simply complies with the original guidelines. And my guess is those guidelines are limited to additional testing (natural) and regular clinical counseling with written reports provided to the league. The counseling will likely end with full reinstatement. Nothing has likely changed since the requirements were first laid out. Follow them and he's in. Don't follow them fully and he's not. That's hardly onerous for a twice-suspended player. """""!!!!!"

ME
It amazes me how far Bryabt has to jump to get through the hoop(s). How many Domestic Violence classes will Ezeikle be taking?????

Martavious brought this upon himself so I don't feel any empathy for him. He needs to do what NEEDS to be done and that don't involve matches or zigzags.

There's no defense for his size and speed. Jump ball to Bryant, lets go!
