The Browns have won exactly a single game over the past two seasons. Now they’re parting ways with executive vice president Sashi Brown, the team announced Thursday.

“We have great appreciation and gratitude for Sashi’s commitment and leadership to our organization but believe transitioning to someone with strong experience and success in drafting and building consistently winning football teams is critical to the future of the Cleveland Browns,” owner Jimmy Haslam said in the team’s statement. “Today we informed Sashi that we were going in a new direction.”

The Browns confirmed head coach Hue Jackson’s job is safe.

“Hue Jackson will remain our coach and will return for the 2018 season but we feel it is necessary to take significant steps to strengthen our personnel department,” Haslam’s statement read.

Why did Cleveland fire Brown? Brown had 11 draft picks to work with this offseason, and the Browns still can’t win. Much of that can be blamed on the instability at the quarterback position. One of Brown’s first big moves after taking over in Cleveland was signing Robert Griffin III.

Who will take over for Brown? The team didn’t take long to hire a replacement: former Chiefs GM John Dorsey.

Dorsey is the Browns’ ninth GM since 1999 and will have six extra picks to work with in the 2018 draft.

Browns fans are preparing to hold a special 0-16 parade

Technically it IS a perfect season ...

Browns fans are preparing to hold a special “Perfect Season” parade to commemorate the team going 0-16, should it end up happening.

The plan was initially launched back in November, because Browns fans are realistic and pragmatic. Now that the team is sitting at 0-12, it seems like this could really happen, and now organizers have the means to do it. A Go Fund Me was established to offset the costs, and thanks to a $7,683 donation from Exedrin (yes, the aspirin brand) it’s now on path to become a reality.

This just in:

The Browns are as stable as a 3 legged table...

1-27. How would you like to taste them BEANS???????

Browns gotta Brown. I doubt they win a game the rest of this decade. If the Browns fans were smart they’d boycott until decent ownership took over.

Good Lord...I looked up their last 48 games going back to Oct 2014 (equaling 3 seasons) and they have only won 4 games. The Steelers have won 5 games in the last 4 and half weeks. I have no idea how those fans deal with that level of bad.

.083 winning percentage

Since the return of the BROWNS, there is a good reason Ben Rothlesberger is the MOST WINNING QB in their house. Think about that, since they returned in 1999 BR has won more games in their stadium than any other QB including the Browns QBs. WoWzzA

Some here can just play that off as "the Browns being the Browns",......... But it takes a lot of work to be consistant at being inconsistent. It's not all by accident that they are as bad as they are. Several members here could run that organization better, UNTIL you add in the ownership factor. THAT is the consistant bad happening thingy.

I have empathy for the true BROWNs fans.

Now that fan base can correctly blame Tomlin for terrible losses...

Booze, and lots of it.

They have beaten Tomlin led teams twice up there.. I know... I was there both times... Browns fans were celebrating like they just threepeated superbowl wins

But they are very consistent.

1 - 15 last year
0-16 likely in 2017

Or they could be 1-15 this year, no change!

My favorite stat in all of sports. Ben has more wins in Cleveland then any qb that has started for the Browns sice their return.y
Loved the Sashi Brown move. It was like they watched the movie draft day and thought. This **** could work. Next up Kevin Costner

They need a new head coach. He sucks.

Actually,..........they can just keep this current head coach.................for as long as possible..............

Browns fans are as delusional as ever, they were CONVINCED Peyton Manning was going to come and be their new GM!

BWAhahahahahahahah

Actually 3 times, 2009, 2012, 2014.

I know, I was at the 2009 game...bitter cold 10 below 0. Coldest Steeler Brown game on record.

The Steelers had beaten the Stains 12 straight prior to that game. My first ever Steelers Browns game, suffering in that bitter cold and we lose.
I promised never to go to another Steelers Browns game.

We are 32-6 vs the Stains since their return in 1999.

The Browns need to do away with the whole team nothing is going to come out good for them I feel sorry for the fans y'all will never see a Superbowl that y'all are in.It is true y'all Suck.

I was at that game as well. I was upper deck, so the wind was whipping through there.

That 2014 year, they were pretty good and started 7-4 before dropping their last 5. The 2012 game was the 8 fumble, 3 interception game when Batch started.

Here's how bad they are:

1 win since Dec 20, 2015
2 wins since Oct 18, 2015
4 wins since Nov 30, 2014

They've only managed 4 wins in 47 games, and counting....
This fan base loses their minds when we don't get 4 wins in a quarter of the season!

Fun fact, San Diego is the last team to lose to the Browns on Dec 24, 2016. The Brown's fan base haven't enjoyed a gift since last Christmas eve...
Even more fun fact, the following week, the Steelers' second team beats them in overtime with Landry Jones!

And we're such nice guys we're gonna give them another chance with our backups again this year.

...well, unless we need to win that final game in order to secure the top seed.

I was listening on the radio to somebody who used to work for the browns. He said that everything about them is turmoil. They would be constantly re-painting hallways different colors. They'd fired secretaries or other office personnel for seemingly no reason. Everybody walks around unsure they'll be there the next day. No stability at all.

all i can do is lean back in my chair, look up to the sky and thank GOD I wasn't born/raised a cleveland browns fan. goodness gracious what a miserable existence it must be!

I grew up .5 mile from the Ohio border. Had my immigrant grandfather bought land in Ohio I would have been a Browns fan growing.up. Thank you grandpa.

I DID grow up in Ohio, love the state, but my Mother's side hails from WV (Steeler country), and as a kid the Steelers were all I knew, learned the game watching football with my Grampa and Uncles. Otherwise I may have...*gasp*...ended up a Bengals fan
