We all know that the AFC East has pretty much been garbage for all of Brady's tenure. It is a huge part of their success that they nearly always get a bye mostly due to their usual cakewalk schedule. That and cheating of course.

To drive this point home, I ask the question, Who is the best QB that Brady has had to face inside the AFC East?

I haven't done the research but off the top of my head, the answer might be Mark Sanchez or Ryan Tannehill, unless you want to count a season of broken down Favre.

Anybody else have a nominee?

How about AFC East coaches? Rex Ryan is probably the best coach they've had to deal with. I can't even think of another decent coach.

I don't buy that. It's only 6 games. Still gotta play 10 other teams.

You're really on your toes today, tape.

we play the browns and marv lewis twice every year

Hast the EAST ever put two teams into the playoffs??? The NORTH has multiple times in the cheaters time frame and recently.

I looked it up once, but don't remember exactly the stats. Since hoodie has been there, I think the north has put twice as many teams in the playoffs as the east has.

I didn't look it up...but just off memory the East had 2 teams in Playoffs last season. The North has done it very often even having 3 playoff team in 11' and 14' if I remember correctly

stat showed on Monday night game, since 2001

winning percentage
jets .476
dolphins .466
bills .413

not the toughest path to a division title

The pats went 11-5 one year and didn't make the play offs. Also to get the #1 seed you certainly have to win outside the division. Put the pats in any division they will win. I bet if you look ary their record in the division vs outside it will hold up fine.

The easy division is why they win it every year. The QB and coach is why they are one of the top seeds in the AFC every year.

Division games are usually your toughest games, even when they aren't that good. We've seen the Browns play the Steelers very tough. And the games vs Cincy and Balt are almost always tough and physical even if they are not playoff caliber teams.

Miami seems to do well vs the Pats in Miami, but aside from that, their division is usually a walk over. When have they ever gone through back to back games like the Steelers just had?

Since 2001 when the Pats first made the playoffs and won the SB:
Miami 01, 08, and 16 (last year we beat them in Pit) 0-3 record
Buffalo No playoff appearances
Jets 01, 02, 04, 06, 09, and 10 6-6 record

NE only missed the playoffs in 02 and 08.
01 3 teams made the playoffs.
04 Jets and Pats
06 Jets and Pats
09 Jets and Pats
10 Jets and Pats
16 Miami and Pats
