I keep saying this. Lack of discipline on this team. Coach(es) late too. Rooneys must face this and correct it at the source or fall into mediocrity. Make no mistake that is where things are headed.

Ya know I don’t believe anyone on this board actually wants to see Tomlin fail. Hell no! When he fails we fail! But the one constant in all of this is Mike Tomlin.
The suspect play calling, the dabbling in the defense, the lack of making adjustments, the late game decision making, the lack of discipline, the callous overlooking the next opponent, unbelievably in a playoff game, playing down to lesser opponents.

Yes he won 13 games but how many pulled out with Ben and AB heroics or last second FG’s.

Something needs to change and it’s more than just replacing Haley.

Yes, smartest move one could ever make right here. Let's trade a player, the best running back in the league, to a division rival so he can burn our ***** twice a year. At least you'll be able to puff your chest out and say "but, but, but why would you trade him to Cleveland?! Tomlin strikes again!!"

I was think more on the lines of SF. Hell no, I wouldn't want to face him twice a year. That's suicidal.

Cleveland is where great talent goes to die, no way he burns our ***** twice a year. Besides, you don't think Barkley has talent? What if they draft him?

That said, I don't see anyone trading a top 10 pick for him, not even Cleveland.
 
This **** is being purposely leaked out. Waiting for more fall out. Sounds like as started in another thread, it’s more than just Bell.

You'd have to applaud their front office for finally picking someone worth a **** if they draft Barkley. No sense in crying about stuff that is completely out of our control. However, trading one of your best offensive players, who is the best in the league at his respective position, to a division rival who you play multiple times a year should automatically get your *** fired. Trading to a team in the AFC would be bad enough, let alone your division rival. I don't care that it is the Browns. Have you seen our run defense lately? How about our middle linebackers ability to cover backs and tight ends? Super smart move.
 
At the same time Belichick warned Patriots players to not be late to practice even with a blizzard set to hit Massachusetts. Tomlin has to start running a tighter ship. Fine line between a players coach and letting the players run the roost.
 
Let me also add between coaches not showing up on time and Bell choosing not to show up may not look like a big deal but IMO it's a huge deal. It explains why we continually lose games or keep it close when we should blow teams away. We are failing to do the little things that matter between winning and losing. Just goes to show you I'm sure we are failing in other areas in terms of preparation.

Does anyone know if they can implement the fining system that Noll used to have? My guess is the CBA nixed that but it would help. As I said earlier, if you're late, first offense is $50,000 and it doubles each time. Fumble a ball and it'll cost you. Not run back the huddle, give some dough. Not run full speed for your entire route, give some dough. Etc.

Money talks and bull **** walks. Start fining the players and you will have their full attention.
 
Meh. Tomlin won't be able to change the culture he has aloud to be created for the past decade and fix it in an off-season. A shame. This team has so much talent yet is so immature. I will be glad when Tomlin will be gone. He let this happen and it gets worse every season. I was fine with Tomlin staying until Ben retires for the stability side of things but the sooner Tomlin is gone the better. A shame he will be here for the foreseeable future. SMH

Saying Bell is a problem or the reason we lost is beyond retarded.
We lost because the defense didn't show up on Sunday.

He got paid and still couldn't report on time...right before the most important game of the year. F*** him!

Pay him what? What amount is he going for? The guy sounds like he's going to sit out if the Steelers tag him again. Which would be over 14 million for the season. I wouldn't give him more that a 4 year deal with the 4th year being an option year. This team has way too many needs on defense to fill to give him some absurd amount .
 
You know what's funny? We always criticized that the team often doesn't show up for games like the Bears or other bottom feeders.

Who knew the team actually "doesn't show up"?
