Neither Rudolph nor Haskins will be our starting QB next year..

Ben will "retire" after this year, and Haskins will be the backup to our new starting QB. Our offense is now geared better to suit a mobile QB and although some would say that'd fit Haskins perfectly I don't think the coaches trust him fully to take over the starting reigns after Ben retires. I think our new QB will be... Russell Wilson. The Seahawks is rumored to be looking to move him and they have a opt out in his contract after this year. We'll have a ton of salary cap after Ben retires with the biggest need being QB, and I think the Steelers gives up a first or 2nd rounder for Russell Wilson which would fit PERFECTLY into our offense. You heard it here first lol.

T.J. Watt will be franchise tagged

Mason Rudolph will be a Packer

Lol....good stuff. Keep it coming.

A first or a second?

Definitely a first, the Seahawks are going to want compensation for him and I see Colbert going all in on this one. I actually think they've been looking at this for months now and have this plan ready to go. Basically making Ben's contract a 1 year contract and having Rudolph and Haskins 1 year contracts, all about to expire at the end of this year, they're definitely going to make a big move for a ready to go top tier starting QB at the end of this season.

I'm sorry, I was being a bit sarcastic. As much as I'd like to see Russell Wilson in a Steeler uniform, it's going to cost a tad more than a first round pick in the twenties to grab him.

in the year 2000......... in the year 2000....

Wilson and Watt would put us in cap hell again. It would be nice to bring in a top tier QB, but looking at what QBs are getting now we would handicap ourselves again

Lol I'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed and just put this out there, just remember this thread next year 😎 everything that we're doing right now is making room and planning something Big for next year. As Cobert said there's a plan with the extra cap we have, and being that none of our QBs are signed to long term deals and we easily could've signed Watt a long time ago if he wanted to, all points to a bigger plan next year. Just keep this in mind lol

AR is the big add. Half of Steelernation will love it the other half will lose their lid.

The Seachickens will want a heck of a lot more than one first for Wilson.

The way Roethlisberger has looked and talked in camp, I'm not so sure he retires after this year.

Obviously, if he plays terribly, the decision will be forced on him, but if he plays well, I think he plays again in 2022.

Whether the Steelers will want him back is another issue all together, as they seemed only lukewarm on the prospect of bringing him back this season.

If Roethlisberger can maintain the level of play he demonstrated over the first 9-10 games last year, he still feels light years ahead of what Rudolph or Haskins could offer. It would also mean the Steelers would be drafting 20 or later.
