I haven't been a huge AB supporter for his selfish behavior the past 5 seasons, but I just heard him speak and apologize, and he sounded very sincere and he genuinely felt bad and realized what he did was wrong. A+ 👍

Which apology was better. This years or before the last game, last year. I personally don't care. Me and Ron are on the same page. Receivers will be receivers. I think the call for and apology are actually more of a distraction then anything else.

If all of them would STFU it would go away. Players do dumb ****, they're people. They should have kept it all in house and refused to comment, ALL of them.

Agreed with those saying we should expect outbursts from time to time. These are passionate guys and it shows on the field. All the commenting about it made it worse. Have everyone say "yeah we all hashed it out, we're on the same page, ready for next week" and leave it at that. I don't know when it became such a big thing pressuring people to apologize and grading their apologies, etc.

Was nice to hear. AB has it all but needs to get it the game goes fast in the backfield for Ben he can't se everyone. Stats are for fantasy football wins are for getting to Super Bowl.

BJ Finney 5 1/2 wide!!!!

Nowadays maybe but I don't recall all this braggadocio going on in the Noll days... jus sayin'.

This must have come into vogue when the money got crazy large and TV endorsements started buying Rolls Royce's. Correct me if I'm wrong but we've had a lot of talented receivers on this team over the years and I can't remember any of them celebrating .every first down.

th

I'm of the mind set that says, get back in the huddle and act like you've done it before. It's a competition not a 3 ring circus.

Now I gotta go chase these kids off my lawn.

I hear everything you're saying. Could you imagine any of these divas playing on the 70s team????? They would learn MANHOOD very fast.

I don't get the props to AB for an apology. You what? Just don't be an ***. Simple. Give props to all the other players on the team that handle themselves like a professional week in and week out. They don't have to give an apology. So I will give them PROPS because they don't have to issue an apology.

40 years ago fans spent $20 on a ticket, smoked in the stadium, **** faced, and cheered when an opposing players head got ripped off. Today we spend $120 on a ticket, don't smoke, sip lattes, and scream for a penalty when a player gets tackled.

I don't thinks it's fair to compare a game that has taken decades to ruin.

Society trickles into the game as well.
Back then was simple and straight forward

I'll buy that too. As I tried to remember when all this started, I don't recall any such BS during the Cowher years either. In fact the only celebrations I remember were for touchdowns and that started way back with Icky Woods or maybe even earlier. This "good catch" and "first down" BS is real recent, seems about the time they had to make the rule about handing the ball to the ref....what 2 yrs ago or so ?

And Badcat....thems were some good times fo show. Many a fight before-during-after games LOL

I'm of this opinion as well. There are a ton of players who handle their business every week with professionalism. AB draws this attention on himself and while I don't think the water cooler thing was a huge deal, it's just the constant stories that continue to surround him as he gets older. The guy has been around for awhile and knows how the media works.

when the media is trying to make it look like there is an issue in the locker room -- from the debacle in Chicago to AB on the sideline -- The media needs STFU

yes I did ... I am sick to death with the media .....

I'm almost glad I will only be able to listen to the game today.

AB may well be one of then best receivers in the league, but they don't puts points on the scoreboard for first downs.

And there's so much competition in the media now that they just stir stuff up for ratings. Most of them act like they've scored a TD when they "report" what the inquiring minds need to know.
