The quickness off the ball is the most exciting aspect of this play to me. Disrupted the whole play.

Dan looks good as does Williams and the Big V at the tackle spot.

I really liked last years draft. I wasn't the highest on Shazier because he is a boom or bust type of pick in my opinion. But the only picks I disagreed with were late round picks like Richardson, Johnson, Zumwalt, and Blanchflower. And I didn't hate any of them. I felt Richardson was a reach but how much of a reach is a 5th round pick?

Speed off the ball and staying low. Love to see him keep improving. He will be tough to keep off the field if that is the case.

I don't really know how the coaches are grading him (probably more based on practices), but when he plays in games he always seems like a handful for the O-line to deal with.

If he can harness all that ability into some smart and disciplined play, he's going to be a really good player I think. I would even like to see him get some snaps at DE over top a OT.

McCullers article earlier this year, said something to the tune of him working a lot harder, has lost some weight. The weight loss has made him faster and stronger. I see him doing the things needed, should be a handful to opposing OL man.

Salute the nation

Just like I pushed for Bud Dupree prior to the draft this guy "Big Dan" is my main man. I think the sky is the limit for him and can be a serious force in the middle for years. Only if Cool Shades will look past McClendon long enough to give this kid a chance, that will be what it takes. This kid like Bryant came to camp ready to play. Bryant adding 10 lbs and working hard onhis routes and "Big Dan" losing weight and working on his technique. If they can get him to stay low he will be that guy like Big Snack that can occupy two blockers. He's my guy to make a huge impact in his second season if given the chance.
