Ben's Rookie Season

Yep, it sure was a great rookie season. Except the Steelers did not win the AFC Championship his rookie year.

He sure did his 2nd year! What a great run! No one gave us a chance against the colts! Then the broncos. What a great time to be a Steelerfan!

Back when the word "TEAM" meant something special.

ALL though they didn't accomplish much last season, the one thing they did accomplish was prove they were a TEAM and had the team first attitude. With little chest finally out of the picture, the TEAM thrived in that regards.

Salute the nation

The difference between the receivers then and now is really just a tall receiver like Chase Claypool, who is basically this years DK Metcalf. If he’s there when we pick in RD 2, I wouldn’t be upset if we took him and turned our receiver group into one the best young groups in the league. Sure we need a RB, but with 2 years of a future hall of fame passer, why not give him an elite group of receivers?

Think about Ben with time and Juju, Diontae, Claypool, Macdonald and Ebron in a 5-wide package!

Ben was a freak athletically back then, shame he didn't take better care of his body in his prime, he would have been even better than he already was.

Well having multiple bodies he didn;t have the time to properly take care of each one. Good thing he was a freak athleticall.

You must be speaking code of some sort....

Welcome to Steeler Nation

Truly a joy watching that highlight vid.

You can see that even as a rookie, Ben made guys like Randle El and Burress (Hell, Levon Mays) look like pro-bowlers.

Hines was always reliable, if not flashy. But Ben just has that "it factor" where he finds guys.

Admittedly, he did throw some balls that were risky and some that put his receivers in a dangerous spot. But if you're looking for a flat out gamer, you can't find anyone better.

Greatest playoff run ever-
Beat AFC 3, AFC 1, AFC 2 and NFC 1

And the best part of that... It came after he promised the Bus he'd get him t the Superbowl the year before.

(To which at the time, the Bus of course thought, "Rookies...")

"And he shall be Levon.
And he shall be a good man.
And he shall be Levon
In tradition with the family plan.
And he shall be a good man.
He shall be Leevoooooon."
