Ben Roethlisberger said he is taking it one day at a time in terms of playing Sunday.

It’s that feeling, that reaction, which will be the biggest guide as to Roethlisberger’s availability.

“That is what Dr. (James) Bradley said,” said Roethlisberger, referring to the doctor who did his surgery. “He said I have gone through this before so my body will tell me best how I feel.

“Being able to feel comfortable out there, protect myself, and keep the swelling out of it.”

Roethlisberger said he would talk to Coach Mike Tomlin after practice on Wednesday and let him know how he is feeling, but the decision on whether he will start, or be available to come in during the game, won’t be his call.

“You will have to ask Coach Tomlin,” said Roethlisberger. “That is strictly his call. I am going to tell him how I feel after today and go from there.”

So Ben's knee is doing the talking...what's the word?

Suggs thinks Ben is playing. .

“Don’t fall for that. You gotta understand, I saw this movie before,” Suggs said at his press conference. “He’s gonna act like ‘Aw, I’m not playing, I don’t know, I did individual work a little bit.’ But then he’ll walk his big *** on out there and it’ll be ‘How you doin’ Benjamin.’ And then it’s on

Yawn. What tricky poker players. The Ravens won't know who to prepare for! Zoinks. They are so confused!

Tomlin is so tricky. And they got Ben coached up to add to the obfuscation. So tricky!

it's simple. prepare for Ben since he can throw the ball all over the field.
if Landry plays, bring the safety up and play tight on the WRs.

How do you post 3,400 some times and not have ONE SINGLE piece of Rep Power?

Hell, even some of the "worst" trolls on this site found at least one kindred spirit.

If his knee doesn't swell up like a balloon and he can practice normally tomorrow I'd say he has a good chance of playing.

This coming from the guy who cried "racist" because I quoted the movie "Thinner." Forgive me if you don't carry much weight after that tantrum.

And the rep power is bull ****. I get almost all positive comments in my rep remarks but some how they don't ever impact my rep. Whatever. Forgive me if I don't give two *****.

Exactly. It's just not rocket science, even though they want to convince us it is.

Now don't get all worked up. I just happened to notice your situation and thought it was odd. So I asked. I apologize if my asking touched on a tender subject.

And again, my apologies for not understanding a reference to a "B" movie that I had not seen (And from what I understand "B" is generous). As to whether my opinion carries weight with a person on an internet message board, whom I will probably never meet and who does not impact my business or social life ... hmmmm, not really a major concern of mine.

Well, there you have it. The STEELERS just arn't good enough at fabricating or concealing things as your accustomed to. Play your cards right and your reputation points may climb,........................BUTT then maybe not !!!!!!!!!

Salute the nation

Whoa there, I am so offended that you rip on a movie you have never even seen. Quite the credibility there. "That's not even a 'B' movie." "When did you watch it?" "I never have." OK, there, slim beats.

Speaking of being touchy, when the mere mention of "White man from town" makes you spin into a delusional rage citing racism....you might want to consider therapy.

Not every blade of grass has a racist hidden behind it.

I do enjoy the way you take poetic liberty in describing events.
Therapy? About a message board post? Interesting train of thought. If I were to go that route, do you think you could get me an appointment with your shrink? Eh, never mind, they haven't done to well with you and your fixation with all things Pat***.
Anyway, here's a little "Rep" because the blade of grass comment made me chuckle.

I have half a mind to become a contributor SIMPLY so that I can take away his one measly rep haha

Every thread is now full of this idiot's bullshit and you keep feeding him?

Guess I'll find another place to get football news

No reason to wonder why all the Ravens fans call Ben a "Drama Queen"

Last I heard he still had all his stitches from the surgery in, don't those need to come out before he plays?

If Ben plays, we need a very conservative type of play calling from Haley. Run it often, use screens, short slants to Brown, play action, use the TE. To go deep, use the two TE set to prevent getting beat on the edge.

We don't know how bad the tear was, but I'd rest Ben if he's 50/50 or even 40/60. Ben's too valuable. These are the Ravens, some of their guys play to knock you out of the game. If Ben plays, he'd better wear a brace or something to protect that knee. Its best to be coy until the Steelers must report on his status.

The Ravens don't score a lot of points. Bell, Brown and no mistakes from Landry Jones combined with normal clutch kicking from Boswell and no major defensive breakdowns can win this one. That and no coaching gaffes or special teams breakdowns.

If I had a preference, it's that Landry comes in, does a steady job and Ben can heal. He's come back too soon before and played like crap. I say "steady", because I don't expect great things from Landry (who does?), but by now, I expect him to him be able to manage whatever game plan is in place. This team should be able to win w/o Ben for a period of time w/o the need for him to rush back.

With t*mmy b*y ingesting all natural, I'd assume that fits your diet plans...........

Did Ben practice today

He was limited, though Ed Bouchette is much more optimistic.....for once...

Source says it appears Ben Roethlisburger on track to start at QB for Steelers vs. Ravens Sunday. OC Haley says looked good in drills today

Either way, I expect Ben to be active, but may not start.

Ed is very fair-minded, far from a fanboy media type. If he's Optimistic, Ben's likely playing,
