By: Jonathan Clark SteelerNation.com   A lot of questions can be asked following the Pittsburgh Steelers 26-15 loss to the Buffalo Bills Sunday night. It kind of just seems like a rerun of last week’s outcome. The Steelers are beating themselves, and the bad part is, it’s so blatantly obvious. I don’t want to take […]

Yeah JC that is the words out of a player who is disappointed with his performance.

No problem with him voicing his displeasure hopefully it leads to better play on the field.

Ben is right. If he plays better, we probably are still undefeated. The same thing could be said for our pass catchers and our O-Line. As bad as we’ve looked, the two picks from Ben are arguably the difference the past two weeks. So....if he plays better, we can get back on track if we get some players back. Ben is hurt. I’m convinced he has lower body issues that are a large reason plays are not extended classic Ben style. It also affects the longer throws. This all leads to the plays being called and I believe the fact that he’s not under center. All you have to do is watch him walk. He ain’t right.

He says that every week in his post games whether he's part to blame or not. Replaced with "I need to be better". Sounds like a broken record after a while.

Ben shouldn't have to play perfect every week in order to win. Maybe if defensive changes were made in the 2nd halves of last game and the WFT game, we could have won those games.

Ben is going to throw INTs, just like every other QB in the NFL. When the OL can't run block or pass block for longer than 2 seconds, that is asking a lot of Ben or any QB to carry a whole offense. It's actually ridiculous.

In order to win, Ben has to throw directly on target with every pass, no INTs, don't get sacked, make sure the WR/TE catches the ball, adjust routes when the defenses adjust, call running plays when we're lucky to gain a 1/2 yard.

Want him to call out the WRs and OL? Then you can ***** about him doing that too.. the hate for Ben by some fans is unreal.

at least he's taking responsibility, from what the Ex-player club says, Ben never takes responsibility and passes the blame.

In case people here are mis reading, my point is that Ben is hurt, and we really were still just a couple of plays from perhaps still being undefeated still. I expected us to do something with four downs and 2:00 at the end of the Washington game. The pick six Sunday was HUGE. We need Ben to get healthy, that is my point, not that he needs to be perfect. Can we not agree that he doesn’t look like himself?

I would sit him the 2nd half of the Colts game and the entire Browns game. Seeding means absolutely nothing this year, Heinz field is a ghost town.

I wouldn't blame Ben if he goes the same route when he retires.

I hope not, but it's going to be one sad period in Pittsburgh sports history when Ben hangs 'em up. I don't really give a **** who's up or down on Ben at this point, all I know is (I believe) we've gotten to watch one of the all-time greats at his position, who despite his recent hiccups, still has it. I don't know if the knees are going to finally do him in or what, but I'm going to continue to enjoy watching the future Hall of Famer while it lasts.

No hate, it's just getting monotonous. You think I don't know why he says that. You seem to like putting words in peoples mouths.

When someone brings up dropped passes and not being able to run, what do you want him to say? I'm not putting any words in anyone's mouth. If you knew why he was saying it, you would think it would be something that wouldn't bother you then cause you know the alternative. Sounds to me like you're finding a way to take a jab at him.

Its certainly not just Ben although there is concern surrounding him from the talking heads. No, this goes deeper and I think its a mix between the OL not able to run block and push people around like in past years therefore the run game is non-existent. I think its not having that power back with that initial burst and no that player is not on this team. I think its not using one of the better FB's in the game to lead the way, add in the poor blocking of Ebron when he's asked to block. I think it's the predictable offensive scheme and never, ever making adjustments. I think Ben although he will never, ever admit he has lost confidence in this OL to protect him for the intermediate and longer routes therefore the heavy short stuff and getting rid of the ball in two seconds. I think not using Canada's motion that we saw earlier this season, not having Ben line up under center taking away the play action has hurt this offense. We are totally trying to run this offense with a short passing game, plenty of bubble screens and trying to move the chains with YAC but when you factor in dropped passes that kills this offense, and DJ now has 12 drops. 12 drops, that's crazy!

As for the concern for Ben I've heard a lot about he's done and his arm is shot. Not buying it guys! He's got 29 TD's to 9 ints and thrown for close to 3000 yards which are not numbers indicative of a QB that's washed up. Ben needs a running game, receivers that can get open and catch the damn ball and I think he still does not have a true number one guy. I think he's stuck with number 2's but clearly does not have a number one. These guys have to be able to consistently gan separation and consistently hold onto the ball.

And he has no security blanket like he had in Heath who you knew would make the catch but with Ebron its hit or miss. Thats what the hell ran him out of Detroit, the guy had too many drops and the Lions had enough.

Which leads me to Tomlin who is supposed to be the leader of this team. How did Tomlin let this offense get to this point where we have absolutely zero identity in the running game? Is he not letting Canada do his job? Is Fitchner most of the problem? Is Ben have too much influence? I don't know but he's the HC and its his job to to make sure problems like this get fixed.
If Fitchner is the issue, fire him and promote Canada. It can't get worse Mikey!

Beat Cincy and we clinch at worst the 3rd seed, and we pretty much have no shot at the top seed now that we lost to Buffalo, we have to finish ahead of KC, they win the tie breaker because they beat Buffalo.

The bigger you are the harder it is on your joints. He's lasted quite a while for a guy his size. Ben has had a solid run so far. I think he's got another year in him for sure. I rather see the Steelers maybe sign a good veteran QB if one comes up. You just don't know what your getting in the draft. Odd's are against you big time drafting a superstar or a good one for that matter. I'm not saying not to draft a QB if one with some promise slips in your lap. Steelers have a solid team that can still make some noise.

Your thinking too much outside the box. If someone says something you immediately put a negative spin on it. I know I won't change your mind. Relax and watch some classic commercials.

Lol whatever you say.. your post WAS negative towards Ben. I honestly don't care, just wanted to see what you thought he should say and clearly, you have no response for that.

Cope and Lambert together at ole Kennywood, that's the stuff of Pittsburgh legend. Love it.

Not again. Click bait. Next.

articles from the SN writers are not ******* click bait

Ben is just being a good team mate...if his ******* receivers would catch the ******* ball he would be looking awesome

yeah his throw on the pick six sucked...but most of his passes were good. the last pick should have been a PI call...but of course that **** doesn't happen for those in Black and Gold

Teammate is one word.

We are simple people, but as a moderator you should know better!!!!. LOL

Reminds me of a time when I told my son that his elementary school science teacher had it wrong. She wrote "preying mantis" on a piece of homework.

A science teacher above anyone else should know it's a "praying" mantis, not "preying" mantis. Praying by the way it holds its front legs at such an angle as if to be praying.

So let us join our friend the mantis in prayer.. for Ben and our beloved Steelers.
