By Brandon Wallace SteelerNation.com PITTSBURGH, PA*– Big Ben suffered a broken index finger in Sunday’s win against the Cleveland Browns. Fortunately, it’s on his non-throwing hand and he’s still set to start against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9. The injury happened early in the game, but with Big Ben’s toughness, and the ability to […]

No worries can use his throwing hand to flick off the ravens after the win.

Knowing Ben, he'll put some dirt on it and carry on.
Dude only goes down with serious injuries.

For all the "arm chair" QBs out there,.........go fracture your INDEX finger and then tape it up, go on a roller coaster ride and see how yaz feel. Ben Roethlesberger goes through a lot of pain for our entertainment pleasures......... I thank him for that.

Glad it's on the NON-throwing hand but still best be careful from incidental contact with helmets and flying bodies by him. I just don't want to see where Dobbs or Rudolf can take this team.............

Ben doesn't get enough credit for his toughness.

Other than stating: "a fractured index finger", this information is loose at best. Fractured digits are painful indeed because of loss of mobility due to swelling. Complete fractures require reduction and splinting of some kind. A "fracture" could simply be a cracked bone.
Regardless, tough "break", BR is moving the team forward and his level of play will definitely be needed against the Rats. Big game and you know, broken finger and all #7 will be on that field.
