Bell signing with Chiefs

I don't think he will be an upgrade for them .It is a wait and see. He probably will be a decent pass catcher. But we will see if he disrupts the chemistry in the room....
 
He’s a good backup behind Clyde-Edwards, nothing more.

It's also been 3 years since he was the feature back. 3 YEARS!

He was never as fast or durable as AP. Bell hit his prime in Pitt and now he is past it.
 
With his receiving skills, I would not be shocked if he plays well in that offense.

The Jets are a dumpster. There's a reason why Jamal Adams wanted out. It's really hard to judge what he did and didn't do with that team.

He's only 28 years old.
 
Still think he is one of the most overrated players ever. Will be interesting to see how he does there.

I do agree with that aspect of his game Punx. To me I always thought he could transition to a skat back or slot receiver role to prolong his career.

One thing he is good at though is pass pro on 3rd down.

He'll probably surprise a lot of people with his running as well.

He'll have a lot of room to run with defenses focused on stopping Mahomes.
 
People are whistling past the graveyard here... Kareem hunt was a huge part of the Chiefs arsenal and they only cut him due to off the field issues... they have struggled to replace him.

What they are going to use him as... a rb that can shift to wr routes to challenge base formations or be used as a dump off threat out if the backfield makes them a lot more dangerous.

Id rather him go to the nfc or well anywhere but there... they just fixed a portion of that team that has been subpar despite winning last year...
 
Glad we didn't bring him back, however, good pick up for the Chiefs. Andy Reed always did like receiving type RBs and Bell will contribute. With Mahomes throwing passes like Magic Johnson, Bell will be a great check down for him. We'll all be watching....

the chiefs have been to two straight AFC championship games, and are the defending superbowl champs. they haven't struggled to replace ****

Their new rookie running back isn't very good at either pass blocking or catching the ball. BELL will be an upgrade over that but I still say he has lost a football step.

One thing for sure is I never wish injury on anyone but I don't have to root for the ******** either.

AR might be able to get through to him. I'd expect him to thrive or be looking for work in a couple weeks.

Bell needs a lot of skill around him at QB and WR to shine. The thing is is acceleration is gone. He's just a guy now.
