We will likely see Tuitt as a starter at end and McCullers in the rotation at nose. This is simply due to injuries at this point. Expect there to be mixed reviews on the new guys. They may bring some enthusiasm and youth to the position but may also have some technique issues and knowledge issues as well that offset some good plays they are likely to make.

With this in mind I would not call McCullers a bust the first time he gets too high and looks like he is on roller skates or gets his legs cut from under him. He may have growing pains. Same thing with Tuitt he may have issues of taking the wrong angle or messing up a stunt etc during the game. As luck has it lately when that happens it will be him that allowed a big play rather than the play running into the other guys that are where they should be, it just seems to be our luck lately.

I will be watching the game on Monday night and hope to see some good things from the rookies. I already expect them to make errors after all they are rookies and the game is more complicated at the pro level. On offense I am not so sure what we can expect. We may see more poor execution and more of the no points offense or we might see some points on the board.

I am sure the zebras will be in their usual confused state and will muff at least three calls against us. Likely some will be payback for calling attention to the obvious uncalled hold in the recent past that resulted in a touchdown for the other team. After all that sure looked like an attempt to affect the outcome of a game. We will be able to count on some idiot announcers that have nothing to add that is more valuable than last weeks farts to the game and the comments by the women on the sidelines that have no clue either.

Enjoy the game everyone it is what it is.

This is great news and at this point even thou I haven't thrown in the towel on the season it is not like we have played good so letting these two young guys play is a great call.I know lots of people here have been wanting to see McCullers and I am one of them people. I know we need to get tougher in the middle and I am hoping McCullers can bring that and even if it is a work in progress it is better then what we have now. I can't wait for tonight and I hope we see some good things out of these guys.

remember when we used to get very excited and had great anticipation for a Monday night home game? It used to be a civic wide opportunity to show off our beautiful night skyline and our great football team....

Well at least the beautiful night skyline will be on display tonite.. :(

You could actually give McCullers 3 years and I wouldn't call him a bust. He was picked as a long shot. Anything we can get this year or next is pure gravy as far as I'm concerned. I sure hope he can stay low and make an impact. He is so freaking huge and strong. Even if he ends up on his *** a few times tonight, I just want to see him pushing someone into the backfield.

At this point I hope Ben survives the evening. That's kind of my top priority.

The defense is gonna yield big yardage and big plays tonight. That, we all know. What we dont know is how well we will execute on offense and the mental errors we might see.

As i always say, its takes 30 to win with this team. 30 pts should win this game barring any special teams failures. If we put up our avg of 20.3 tonight, it wont be enough

I am not sure our offense can manage 10 let alone 20. The players just do not seem focused on the finer points of the game. I just wonder if they spend as much time on the plays and their reads as they do on their stupid dance moves. Want to send a message, every time one of those over paid under achievers signals a first down or does some time wasting celebration boo them, maybe by the fourth game they will get it, so far they have only demonstrated the ability to be slow learners.

I am excited to see what Big MacCullers can do in the middle. Yes, I agree he might have poor technique and get too high but if he gets to high it still takes a good push to move 350lbs back. I could see him forcing some double teams on the offensive line and hopefully freeing Timmons or Spence for a sack or big TFL to the RB.

Tuitt at this point I would just love to see a bull rush and push the OT back into the QB a few times for some hurry up throws. That would be an improvement in my eyes.

IMO, I fully expect our offense to come out and score at will. If you don't, then you're not been paying attention the past couple years.
Haley's offense moves the ball. The downfall is scoring. Haley was criticized for not running the ball vs Tampa. So he turns around and runs 10 straight times vs Jacksonville. Then his head swells and the offense ***** the bed against Cleveland. Now, since Haley's been criticized for a full 8 days regarding his ineffective offense, his offense will move and score. Just so he can "show" that his offense can do it.

Haley is the NFL version of Lane Kiffin. He was criticized for the lack of rushing yards for the past two games leading up to Texas A&M. Some obscure stat. So what did Lame do? Dropped 298 rushing yards on Texas A&M. But he couldn't do that vs Arkansas.

In the NFL, you can picture Jacksonville as Arkansas and Tampa as Ole Miss (both have had the same degree of success). And forget about that abortion vs Cleveland, as it just highlights, underscores and italicizes everything that is wrong, all in one game.

So, we'll score bucket loads.

or, Houston will beat the **** out of us.

Either way won't surprise me.

McCullers looked good tonight. The one series, he pushed his guy about 5 feet into the backfield and almost got a sack. I hope he sees more time going forward.

Talk about covering all your bases.
I am just glad the Texans decided to put us in position for an extra 14 points. A running back that does not drop very often the ball drops it at the right time. An interception after the ball is tipped and bounces off Timdongs' face mask back to the beard who then catches it and runs for some yardage inside the 20 where we then manage to score. After that little frenzy we were nearly over taken by the Texans anyway. I do not know if they can sting more offense together or not for next week but I think we will need more.

What a ray of sunshine, Keep emitting glow.

Salute the nation

we need to see more Mcullers and Tuitt.
Cortez looks like Chad Scott 1998-2003

McCulllers was and can be a huge impact on this Defense. Hopefully Lebeau and Tomlin will watch the tape of McCullers pushing the play backwards can give them some ideas, getting Shazier and his speed back in the middle can capitalize on the push that Big Dan can provide. That's something the Steelers have been lacking since Hampton/Hoke. I liked Tuitt's hustle last night as well.

Yeah, that one play McCullers pushed the lineman PAST the QB. If he would have seen the QB he could have disengaged the lineman and just grabbed Fitzpatrick. But it still forced Harvard boy to scramble. He also pushed the pocket or held his ground well in the running game. I only saw him getting off the ground once and that was a guy taking his legs out on him and that was early in the game. After that he kept his feet moving and was able to get away from the cut blocks well.

Tuitt had some nice pressure plays but gave up a few good gainers by being out of position. Either way I want him in the rotation especially on passing downs.

Bryant was a nice deep threat getting targetted on three passes in the end zone and catching one. And being targeted 4 times total for 2 catches. I think he route tree is very limited but I would rather him have only one route and run it great than a bunch of routes and plays and run them poorly.
