Batch says on the Steelers post game radio show that he would listen if the Steelers came calling.

Is he serious?

Very nice of him to offer...but I cant believe he was being sincere..

I don't think the would let Batch use his walker on the field.

I'd take Batch back in a heart beat. Hand it off to Bell, dump it off to Bell and Brown. That's all he needs to do, really.

How about Mark "Leave Him Alone' Malone. How about Cliff Stoudt ?. Man, we had some awesome defenses back then scoring all the points for us, but our offense threw for 50 yards a game..LOL

Every Steeler fan favorite...Neil O'Donnell, he took us to the Super Bowl after all...or even Slash!

Batch looks like he's gained 40 lb and he was a china doll when he was in shape.

Ooh then lets sign Kiesel and Troy and suit up Porter... it can be like the old days, only slower and with fewer wins

Are some of you still drunk????? Memory failure is the first sign desperation. Charlie Batch had way over stayed last time he was here. NO, Laundry would be better than the current batch. Don't get me wrong, I liked Charlie a lot, but he is past tense............ NO?

Salute the nation

I bet Brett Favre would suit up if we called him.

Honestly, If we're talking about recently retired players to be our QB, my #1 is Curt Warner.

Kurt Warner at least makes some sense, given his background with Haley.

Why do I picture a gray-bearded guy in Mississippi thinking "I still got it!! Come on Rooney, bring your private jet on down!!"?

He'll ya!!! He can still sling it. That's Ben Sr.
Right after Ben threw that pick today I called him Brett Favre Jr.

If Ben were out for the season, Id entertain it. However, no way Batch is ready to play for 2 to 3 weeks as a best case scenario. And, at his age, could he be better than Vick with a couple weeks of practice with the number 1s? Let's not forget, Vick has only been on the team for a few weeks himself and has gotten up to speed farely quickly but not 100%

100% agree with Burgundy.

Batch was a china doll when he last suited up.
his mobility and arm were shot, too.

may as well bring in Tebow.

Like I said, Tim Tebow doesn't have to be better than Michael Vick, he just has to be better than Landry Jones.

Sorry Charlie. I appreciate what you have done, but your time as a player has come and gone.
