Another week 1 of garbage football and i’m not just talking steelers. There has been this group think that has overtaken the NFL where starters don’t need to play, they just need some practice reps or maybe even "mental reps"

a few weeks ago I remember hearing some media people criticizing the Pats for playing Brady and Edelman in the preseason and Edelman hurt his thumb or something and the media went crazy saying why would he be in the game....

Last night is why ********!

because the pats use the preseason to prepare to win games in the regular season. What a novel concept.

most of the league seems to think preseason is some kind of invitation only fantasy camp where a bunch of guys who will never amount to **** get to put on NFL gear and play in NFL stadiums while they get coaching from starters who also play dress up by wearing their uniforms. You know, to complete the fantasy experience for the lucky campers.

I’m telling you. All these allegedly "smart" young coaches and analytics people are ruining this game. Each year, the game gets worse in terms of blocking and tackling.

blocking and tackling used to be the main focus of practices. No more. Now practice is for running around in shorts and walking through that super smart play your pissant OC dreamed up that is going to trick the opponent and get them a head coaching gig.

The steelers gameplan was poor vs the Pats. But make no mistake. The steelers were whipped because the Pats blocked and tackled. End of story.

Oh, and if Montcrief was going to be your featured WR when the going gets tough, how about getting him some reps with Ben?

Nah, it’ll be fine. Can’t risk getting a preseason injury.

Agree with everything, but I'm pretty sure Moncrief was injured for a good part of the Pre-season, finger or something I thought. Anyway, it's an echo chamber filled with idiots, one person says or does something, it works, even if it's a fluke, the other teams all fall in line and start saying it's the way to win. Complete horseshit.
