Hey guys, Back again and drunker than ever!

What's on your minds?

I'll start answering at 8pm. I want to watch football, but is Miami vs JAX really football?

Their fans are college football fans masquerading as pro football fans. Anyways the Houston game, how do you see it playing out? A struggle or a more smoother outcome?

Honestly, I see this all coming down to our performance. The D is elite, though they need to fix some pass pro issues. They will get exposed by a better QB, and enter Watson. I do like that this matchup features the most QB pressures against on O (HOU) vs the most QB Pressures (PIT), that solidly sits in our wheelhouse.

On O, It all rests on Ben. He's working on technique to improve his performance. Even considering he currently has season highs in QBR and Completion% he wants to improve! That speaks a lot of our signal caller. If he's on, no one can compete with this team. HOU let up a lot of plays to BAL and KC, so if Ben can feast, it will be another long day for HOU. I also like our running game matchup. BAL killed them on the ground, though they line up with more unbalanced blocking than we do, I still think our RBs can do some damage here.

So yes I forsee a win, though turnovers are the great equalizer in any game. Stay on the + side and this is a win.

Interesting tidbit of the day:

Brian St Pierre was in the league for 8 years.

He played in 3 games and started 1. It was a loss to the Ravens (13-37) when he was with the Panthers 13 for 28 173yds 1TD 2INTs

I had a Pauliner Salvador, and Guinness Wide Mouth White Ale (made in BAL). Now I'm sipping on a Redemption Rye bourbon.

You always start out with beer and work to the harder options?

Cope, what is the insulation or thermal value of standard concrete block buried 2 ft below ground level, upper Midwest climate location.?

Do you really think Big Dot could move over to LG and play adequately ?

Slash has start a pretty nice "post" called "Run The Guntlet", I've graded it a 10 out of ten. Do you agree with the rating and do you think he can find enough STEELERS material to keep this impactful rating the entire season if he so chooses to run with it ?

Who will have the bigger day, our very own TJ WATT or his brother JJ Watt ? Obviously a win for us would make it the BEST DAY WATT.

Thanks Cope

After 2 games we sit with a 2-0 won loss record.

In your Drunk opinion should they have a more favourable 4-0 won loss record by now ? Doubles all around

Cheers........

Ha, Not drunk enough to see double yet, though If I did it would look more like 22-0!

Usually. I was never a beer before liquor guy. I understand my limits. I drink until I get tired, wake up, drink 2 L of water, wash, rinse, repeat!

In my wild and crazy guy days (Germany) we would start out with shot trays. Then a bottle of Jack to hit the road with mad dog tucked away in our pockets. Then German beer which took a lot to get used to in its own right. Many of wobbly cobblestone nights.. 18 -21 I am just happy to have survived it.

Hi DIC!

Not sure of the thermal value, but 2' underground is a constant temperature in a temperate climate between 50-60 degrees F, depending on the time of year. Now it would be closer to the 60 number, since summer just ended and it takes time for the ground temp to drop with the air temp.

Big Dot at LG? i don't know. I talked with him when he was drafted. He's only ever played RG. He's never lined up at LG. He's young, so I think he could learn it. I think RG is his natural position, but he could learn it. Right now though, I think he could be a special RG due to the metrics on his first start!

As a Steeler fan, you've always been a 10 DIC!

Going off the current metrics, I'd say TJ will out play JJ. Steelers have only let up 3 sacks on the season, and JJ has 2 sacks. Houston has allowed the most QB pressures in the league. That fits well with the Steelers strength of being the top D in pressuring the QB.

It is amazing what a young liver can survive. I won't lie, I don't drink like I did in college. No more finishing a 5th by myself, or power hours, or century clubs. I'm more of a relax and enjoy what I'm drinking guy. I do love German Beer! The Salvador I had earlier was a Doppleboch. My wife had the Pauliner Marzen and Munich Lager earlier. She loves Marzens (known as Octoberfest beer here). I got a Pauliner sampler and I'm loving it!

Oh....Mad Dog...cheap drunk. Swore you would never let the dog bite you again, but repeated the next weekend.

Cope when I was in PITTSBURGH I went to the "church or Church works" or something similar (retired church). I ate and drank some pretty good beer ther and at that time I was a Pretty good home-brew artist. I got a real kewl personal tour of the brewery by brewmaster. It was awesome.

1) have you been there and is it still in Buisness ?

2). Do you know if they still light up PNC Park & Heinz field the night before STEELERS games (that was always fun, ride the incline and walk up Washington? To see them)

3). If you were at the point of where the two rivers met, the STEELERS just won the SB and in celebration,...... Which river would you jump into ?????

I always wondered why they called it 20/20 when it never gave you foresight or hindsight for that matter...

Our flavor was Banana Red...

Is a sloppy BJ still a BJ? Deep down, you already know the answer and the truth is you don't care. Bad BJ>No BJ. Bad Football < Bad BJ. Or something like that.

KC vs Balt??? Break it down for us.

I have not had a hair cut since January. it was buzzed and now I am a hippie. We are 2 and 0. Should I refuse to get a cut before we get 7 in 21? I do shave my beard, fwiw. I can't take the itching.

Some Hoot rap: "Roses are Red, Violets are blue. Some poem rhyme, but this one doesn't." Do you think I am ready to get my 17M or should I hold out?

Who is more toasted at this point? Hoot or Cope?

:tongue-new:

Yes, you're thinking of the Church Brew works dahn past the strip! Love that place and it's a must hit every time I go to Pit. We always go to 'church' on Sundays there! A running crew usually comes through dressed in nun habits and priest garb. Hilarious! Great beer and excellent food. I'm sad their brick oven caught on fire. They had to stop the brick oven pizzas and their Pierogi pizza was to die for! It's still there, I visited last season. Not sure how they are navigating Covid though...

2) I think so. It's usually lit up when I visit, and that was only on game day weekends.

3) The Allegheny every time. It's toward the stadium, and doesn't mix with that dirty Ohio river!!

1) a Sloppy BJ is the BEST BJ! The only bad BJs involve teeth...

2) I'm rooting for KC, but BAL probably will have the advantage. They have a better D and a strong run game. Plus they're at home. That D is always hyped to hit. It's going to be a really tough game for KC to leave with a win. BAL will have to make mistakes to give KC a chance.

3) I used to be a full beard guy, then Covid hit, so I shaved. Now I have a handlebar mustache. Are you saying you're not expecting to cut until 7/21? Either way, Buzzing the head always works. I use a 2 on the sides and back, and a 6 on the top. I can do it myself and have been cutting my own hair since college. Side note, I did have my first professional hair cut and straight blade shave by a hair sculptor that owns his own shop (family friend). It was AMAZING! He had to use 2 blades to cut my face. I have really course hair, and he said he only sees hair that course on his black clients. I understand that! I never had a 5 O'clock shadow because my shadow starts at noon...

4) Steelers are Yellow, Steelers are Black, Your rhymes need work, keep your day job, Jack... ;)

5) Not sure, I'm still fairly lucid with a nice buzz. What did you have tonight Hoot?

all fair points.

I buzzed my own head for many years. For some crazy reason, I decided to let it grow out this year a bit then covid hit. I am 100%remote work so I decided to let it go. I may well go until 7/21 with no hair cut. I aint going to no hair cuttery when dat bug might git me. That or I am just a cheap bastid and can just let it grow and grow and grow. LOL. Maybe I will get to camp in 21 and we can meet and you can take pics for the board. LOL.

I'm cheap, that's why I always cut my own. 3 jobs to put myself through school, and I went full time. I had mountains of energy in my 20s! I also used to cut some friends hair for beer and food!

There is no such thing as a bad BJ. Even a bad BJ is pretty good.
