.....as a matter of fact, it was due to the opposite.

After reading several articles, it turns out that not ONLY was the comeback NOT due to emotional rhetoric, it was due to the exact opposite.

If you read the article, you will see that the defense came together and told each other to remain calm and just communicate better. Apparently, Heyward is a vocal leader and is known to shout, but they told him, at this time, do not yell, as it may make some of the players even more depressed about the first half. Initially, we read reports of J Peezy yelling at halftime to fire the D up, but according to these quotes, the exact opposite is what turned them around.

The other factor not mentioned here was a change in scheme from zone to more man. I am not sure how much that factored in.

I really don't care about the truth of the why or how it happened, just very pleased that they went from a sieve to not allowing a single point in the 2nd half.

Agreed... I don't care if its a fiery speech or ice cold X's and O's adjustments, benching players, or a bit of all of it... whatever it takes to turn something like that around....

Yelling and screaming is like shock therapy..

Only works for a very short period of time..

Who's they?... also, who changes the scheme or game plans?.. Must have been an assistant coach or maybe the players just decided to change it on the field.

"They" equates to the Brown Crayola crayon....
I'm going to go out on the limb here and say a little.
I think Pop is Coach - or they're closely related...

Who's they? Read the article. Changing game plan? With LeBeau, no change, even when the game situation was SCREAMING for it (see playoff loss to Tebow). With Butler (for whatever reason) game plan changed, 2nd half adjustments allowed for massive comeback win.

It's much easier to see the players become more focused and executed better in the second half, when one of those players was benched for Boykin...

Yea, imagine that. And why did it take until week 15 to get Boink on the field? That is so annoying.

Sad thing is it looks like Blake will start again against the Rats. WTF is Tomlin trying to prove?

Well no ****.

Watch the frickin' game. I'm sure Peezy was helpful from a motivational standpoint but it's quite clear that schematically and from a personnel perspective things changed. The coaches can say all they want that they didn't change anything (TAS), but it's obvious that changes were made. And it's obvious that those changes were effective. I also expect that some of the players were motivated by Peezy telling them he was ashamed of them.

That he is right. Right about what? I don't really know. Maybe that he was right in not giving Boink snaps over Blake? Boink is better than Blake in every measurable way. He is better in coverage, better tackler, better playmaker. Boink comes across as a man who doesn't feel the need to kiss ***. I believe Tomlin wants his players to do so, kiss the ring, so to speak. It is not surprising that Chip Kelly did not like him, most likely because of the same thing. How is that working out for Chip, old buddy, old pal?

bzzzzzzz... bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Is that a mosquito?

As long as Boykin's snaps increase and Blake's decrease, I don't care who starts.

Yep. Anyone that watched the game saw we manned up in the second half. Where in the first half we played mostly zone with 10 yard cushions on the out side. Made a night and day difference.

IDK, I'm annoyed too on that issue. As long as Blake's arrow is pointing down and Boykin's is pointing up, that's the best of all scenarios, obviously...

(and it was week 13 vs Indi)

Where do you come up with this **** from? Oh...Off the top of your head.
