In case anyone wants to see it in its entirety. Pretty straightforward.
It was time folks. For all involved. Let’sTo me he didn't sound convincing when he said he wanted Tomlin back.
Impactful change needs to start at the top. Sorry, but Art2 needs to step down as well.Interesting that Rooney knew the end was near, but again, how they treated the past offseason it makes sense. I thought ARII handled the questions well.
His attorney training has served him well in his current role, especially when being a spokesman for the organizationInteresting that Rooney knew the end was near, but again, how they treated the past offseason it makes sense. I thought ARII handled the questions well.
Think Mike was burnt out or saw the writing on the wall?Interesting that Rooney knew the end was near, but again, how they treated the past offseason it makes sense. I thought ARII handled the questions well.
I made a post in the other thread. I think there was some burn out from the lack of playoff success. After watching this PC, I'm not sure if Rooney was going to give Tomlin an extension. Lastly, I know a gossip reporter mentioned it, but I do think the criticism from the fans and local media probably got to him. Then when some of the national media gets on board as well, the luster was really wearing off.Think Mike was burnt out or saw the writing on the wall?
He's had 3 great ones that many coaches of the NFL don't get the privilege of having. Oh well, water under the bridge.I made a post in the other thread. As a football junky, notice he's not jumping right back in. He may know he needs to perfect situation to return to coaching--ready-made QB.
Tomlin has had 1 great QB. No way you're counting Russ and Rodgers as great, right? He's had 3 great ones that many coaches of the NFL don't get the privilege of having. Oh well, water under the bridge.
Well, let's just say SB winners. I dunno...1 great one and 2 that were decent.Tomlin has had 1 great QB. No way you're counting Russ and Rodgers as great, right?
Both.Think Mike was burnt out or saw the writing on the wall?
I think he's relieved that Shades left on his own because he would never fire him.To me he didn't sound convincing when he said he wanted Tomlin back.
Danny II, who is favorite to take over, is already on staff and on standby. One thing kinda missing the chief brought Dan and his art jr… not this art jr but dans brother, and the transfusion of youth is what the Franchise needed… Dan brought in his son, Art jr, who had been a ball boy in the glory years, and it was a good move… when is Art jr bringing in some Rooney jr’s?
Tomlin brought Russ and AAron in for a reason. How he decided to us them is on him.Tomlin has had 1 great QB. No way you're counting Russ and Rodgers as great, right?
The last few years were all short-term thinking to get to 9 wins. Shades realized that he can't develop players.Tomlin brought Russ and AAron in for a reason. How he decided to us them is on him.

AR was Tomlin’s lure. I would think a young aggressive coach wouldn’t restrict his offense with declining QB.It's on Art, too. He said taking a step back is wasting a year. I hope they don't saddle the new coach with Kirk Cousins to try to win 9 or 10 games.
Yep, like he'd much rather be doing something else.I wasn't impressed with the press conference. Pretty blasé if you ask me. He didn't show any passion. Talk about keeping the Steelers tradition alive etc.
Sounded like a guy who owns a team that the head coach just stepped down, and now he was going to have to find a replacement.
Kinda made me realize why we have had to put up with .500 seasons all these years. Cause that was plenty good enough I think.
That's really just how he speaks. He'd sound the same way on the stage if he ever got to host a Lombardi.I wasn't impressed with the press conference. Pretty blasé if you ask me. He didn't show any passion. Talk about keeping the Steelers tradition alive etc.
