Army/Navy

I have never got into this game, ever in my life. I mean, both team are never any good, so who cares who wins? It would be another story if it was meaningful on some level.

Yea, this year Navy is decent; so how many years have both teams been top 20? That's what I am talking about. In my conscious lifetime, I never remember a season when both teams were significant, hence this game never is.
Well at least there are a lot of apple turnovers...[emoji12]

This is one of those games that I'll pull for both of them to tie..haha

it is a military thing.... You would have to serve to understand...

Fukin A!!!!! My daughter was a 2015 West Point graduate, now a 1st Lieutenant serving in Italy...went to 4 Army Navy games and every time Army lost.

For 4 years I had to watch Army sing first. Tradition is that the losing team faces their Corps of Cadets/ Midshipmen and sing their Alma Mater first...then the winners sing last

Its about ****** time!

Regardless of the losing, that experience, the atmosphere, those memories I will cherish forever.

I was there when they booed Joe Biden lol.

Yea, I kind of thought that was assumed. It's just that they promote it as if everyone should be excited about it. I've been in Philly a week before the game, and it's treated like a SB.

I never really got into it either but I appreciate the rivalry and the overachievers from both academies.

The players on both teams take actual classes - you know, **** like calculus and chemistry and composition and economics.

Oh, and these players also are mandated to engage in physical conditioning, and train with weapons and warfare strategy, etc.

The dumbfucks on Alabama and LSU and USC and on and on could NEVER do what these players do. Ever. They would flunk out, after sleeping through a conditioning alarm.

So I look at it this way - every player on Army and Navy can do what the idiots on Alabama do, just not as well.

The ****-for-brains playing for LSU, etc. could not do what the kids on Army and Navy do.

I root for Army and Navy vastly more than spoiled-*** ***** teams from "power" conferences.

Exactly. Most who believe they are going to the NFL probably aren't going to a service achademy. They want party time, not actual academics and accountability. This rivalry might be the moat real thing in college football. I'm actually pretty much done watching 6 elite teams playing for second place behind Alabama.

Way to go Army

Air Force would've kicked both their *****

The Air Force is often better than either team. The army vs navy game more than a football game. These are fine young men. Bright in shape and willing to serve their country.

Damn right and deserves a bump.

What does that even mean in the modern day? Who is benefitting from these wars? The American people? Don't make me lapse into convulsions and vomiting. Tell me how the common man, in either America or other countries, other than Israel, are any better off from the 7 counties we are currently bombing or occupying.

We should lock threads when kids are just looking for attention.

I got to see both teams marching to the stadiums. Always a very cool site. The game has more meaning then just football

My daughter works at M&T Stadium and really did not know much about the game, at 16 now she understood; she left with a much different perspective.
