Based on signing Peppers, that might be the optimistic view. I'd think it's more likely he misses the Ireland trip and comes back after the bye two weeks later.

Cam has a ways to go to even come close to replicating last season.
I’m glad his incentive based compliment to existing contract is just that, incentive based.
My non-cut-off eyelid covered eyes see this as Cam’s last season.
A player screaming about sitting out the season / possible retirement / going to another team / is already gone, he just doesn’t know it yet.
GOD speed Cam, I hope for the best for you should you somehow remain a Steelers player next season, but also won’t miss you should you be gone.

His production for this season will over-bare the contract thingy. I highly doubt he will get any more money than what is stated in his current contract for next year. Isn’t that contract for this season and next? I don’t see Cam replicating last season’s numbers. His “drop-off” has begun.

Hard to say after one game if the drop off has begun.
I expected zero from him in his first live action of the year. The old man was rusty for sure.
He started looking very bad and by the end of the game he looked almost average.
We’ll have to see if the rusty old jallopy has anything left in the tank (these next couple weeks should be telling).
Tbh I don’t see him replicating last years production either, but if he were to stay even close I could see Khan reworking the deal to add another year and remove the roster bonus structures in favor of a higher salary paid weekly and incentives.
No one with a brain would let him roll past that roster bonus date in his final year after the stunt he pulled.
