Right this guy is very high on my wish list.. Yes a NT. He can play in both our base and sub packages. Absolute beast. He would make Tuitt, Heyward and our inside LBs better. Just watch the play he makes at 1:50 of the clip posted and that should alleviate any concerns about whether he is a 2 down guy. He can play all three downs and would actually sure up some of the issues we have stopping the run in our sub packages. Really high on my wish list.

Looks really big and strong, but seems to stand too upright. The play at around 2:00 where he chased down the rb or wr was impressive. Good news is the Steelers could go a number of ways. The bad news is they have that many holes.

Can I make a recommendation? And this goes to everyone that post videos of players they like. I'm not just picking on you. Please take this constructively.

Do not post highlight videos. They don't do anyone any good. Don't watch them. They can drastically skew your evaluation of a player.

There is a website, Draft Breakdown here:

That has cut-ups of LOTS of games for these players. Every play. Every down. Watching a player fight through 50+ "normal" plays is really how you evaluate talent, not just his peaks.

You have interest in Andrew Billings? Here are seven games from the last two years to watch:

http://draftbreakdown.com/players/andrew-billings/

When you watch THREE of those, tell me what you think. And the key to evaluation is elimination. Tell me why he WON'T fit first. What does he have to improve on? Are they fixable? What's his effort like? Is he winning on talent or hard work? Look at his feet. Look at his balance. How many times is he on the ground in a game? What's his most comfortable "roll" in Baylor's defense? Is the defense and players around him helping him or hurting him?

I understand what your saying Del I have seen him play Ball games not just those highlights Billings is pretty good and will make a good NT I believe

Great site Del. Whatched Hunter Henry vs. K State. Am going to watch more of him. He holds the point of attack with his blocks very well from the sample I watched. I'd like to watch our top 5 possible picks closely on that site. Who are they in your opinion?

Watched Billings vs. Oklahoma ... yikes, dude was completely handled and spent most of the game watching the running back blow past him, or waltzing with the offensive lineman on an ineffectual pass rush.

Watched Eli Apple in two games as he was on three boards at NFL.com. He plays a ton of press coverage. Wasn't thrilled with his tackling and angles against the run. Got beat once on a pass interference/ long bomb against Michigan St.

Mayock said there is up to 10 DT/NT's that some teams would have a first round grade on. Sounds like a good year to get one in the second.

I like Jarran Reed better as a DT, but Billings has a long career ahead if he is coached well...

I like Reed too also Vernon Butler who we talked too at the. Combine

Watched Reed in the National Title Game. He was single blocked on more than 3/4 of the plays and didn't really do squat. That is not good for a nose.

Yep I like Billings Alot

And for the reasons mentioned, not likely our pick. If his specialty is press - and we don't run much of that - why spend a premier pick on a guy who excels at man but not so much at zone? Not happening.

Looking like it won't matter after the show he(Billings) put on today won't be there at 25

I have been saying our NT's are on the weak side and a playmaking DT vs the pass and run who can also play the 0 technique ( NT ) is needed for the nickel and dime.

I like Billings.

Trying to figure out who goes where and who is available... it wouldn't surprise me to see Butler as the Steelers pick.
