And the argument for going for 2

I've been arguing since the rule change. The good thing is our team goes for it more than any other team in the league. When you hit the end of the year and playoffs, our team will not be afraid to go for it and will be able to execute. You'll see other teams play tight going for 2 when they aren't used to it.

This is a coaching tactic that will work to the Steelers' favor when extra points mean so much more in bad/cold weather.

In theory, the risk-reward should be an even trade when it comes to going for two. Twice the points at half the likelihood of converting. I don't know if it has worked out that way, but yesterday probably helped.

I think in windy /slippy days you almost have to. As it isn't like it is the old school distance as they moved it back to encourage 2 point conversions.

And perhaps if you are down 8... other than I think you should kick it.

I'm glad we like to go for it - it's more exciting/entertaining and I think we are much better at it than most teams. But that being said, in that Dallas game, it just felt like we didn't have the short yardage passing game working and we kept trying to force it

We're averaging more than a point so it's been generally good for us, the Dallas game obviously didn't work in our favor. I'm usually for it, but as Aggie stated when the short passing is not on point just kick...especially in situations like Dallas where we could've went up 10 and quit chasing the lost point after the first miss. In the Dallas game AB was getting mugged with no calls, in that case we should've adjusted and started kicking because if your targets are getting mugged with no calls that is an obvious hinderance to the short passing attack.

Do you guys seriously think they will be playing in January?
