Most have us going CB, and they often do, and we rarely go that direction.

This kid is from OSU, and for some reason, we love OSU players.

That being said, if the team realizes Jarvis Jones sucks, and Harrison retires (or at least is not able to be a fulltime starter) maybe they go OLB.

They could still take an OSU player with Lee.

Hard to believe we would have that many 1st round picks at LB, but it might make sense, all things considered.

Ugh. Let's talk after we have either won the Super Bowl or are officially eliminated from contention to do so

who ******* cares....damn there are enough ******* mock draft threads in the postseason...we are not there yet

Seriously.

We need an limit on the amount of thread started by non contributors. Come on pops.

Agree with others, let's focus on the playoffs.
With that said, I'm an Ohio State fan, and I don't like Apple at all for us. He was not great in Columbus, would get torched in the NFL.

I told you they're related...

No relationship. There is a broad spectrum of fans here. Some fans have higher standards and expectations if they aren't meant over the course of time, want action taken to change. Others are just happy to watch. Others view the Steelers even with family and religion, and criticism just kills them.

Speaking for myself, my standards are high. These are the Steelers. The most successful franchise since the AFL-NFL merger. Like many here I know enough about football to question things. If I didn't know or care, I would not say a thing!

Improvement and a better strategy are things I hope for. I want fringe veterans starters out ( Jones and Blake ) , and the younger more talented player to get an opportunity. I expect Colbert and his scouts which have 1000X the man hours and far more resources than I to do better than I would in the draft and in free agency. So you see I really want better. I expect the coaches to develop and put the best players into position to succeed and be tactical enough to use time wisely and make game day adjustments to take away or limit the opposing teams best stuff.

If this were parenting, here's how I would see it. Some parents might be okay with their child getting a B or C. I want the A if the ability to get one can be obtained.

none of that explains the lack of quality in the threads you create

The data and threads are fine. Just look at a number of views, likes or replies. Anyway, I don't read half or reply to half the threads here.

If you don't find the title or context interesting, I prefer to save myself time.

This I don't respect your posts stuff only leads to board infighting. So if you don't like my posts, Pop's posts or whoever's, don't bump the thread or say something derogatory that draws the other person to giving back a negative reply.

if you read half the threads here you would see that the topic you bring up for "New" threads is already being discussed

Again, they'll go BPA and not best CB available. I don't know how deep the CB class is this year but drafting where we are, I would be surprised if they take a CB in the first. And, we gave away our picks this year to be able to trade up a few spots so that ain't happening.

Would I go with an OLB? Sure.
Problem is; who will be there?
Don't see a potentially dominant OLB in the later portion of the draft.
I go BPA between OLB, CB and S.

I'll hold my draft stuff for the offseason, hopefully until mid-February. But much depends on Gay. If he leaves, we will have to reach for a corner in round one, possibly round two or trade up to get one. I was okay trading up for Peters. Man he'd look good in back and gold.

I tend to think we can get a decent safety prospect in rounds 3 or 4.

While our pass defense was rated 30th ( too lazy to look it up right now ) we did face 7 backup QB's during the season, and our offense in some games put the other team in predictable circumstances. Playing 2-3 backup, QB's a season is normal. Yes--I'm saying our pass defense had some favorable matchups, and when you factor in that our pass D is even worse that we saw. If Gay leaves we are in deep doo-doo.

I'd go heavy on CB, OLB pass rusher, and S. I would not mind doubling it up at CB and OLB in this draft.

There are multiple threads on AB's health too. Having said that I'll try to keep my information in threads created unless new information emerges or enough time passes. Now you are free to take my advice, and simply skip the threads that aren't interesting.

We do have a playoff game coming up...

you are free to do what you wish. As a Mod, I have to look at ALL the ******* threads

Too early for us to be speaking about the draft since we are in the midst of a playoff run here. There will be 22 million mock drafts between now and April's draft.

pretty sure pop is coach's dad.....or alter ego....the threads are too similar

You always say this. You want to put some hard cash on this assertion? We could go through a 3rd-party and send the $ to that entity. How much would you like to wager? Go at least 1k. I will set it up.

That's how I feel, but often times they do not go BPA in the units we think they will. I didn't see Shazier pick coming or Dupree, for that matter.

That, and some people have the desire to have more than one active discussion than one. And with the news of AB being out, it is my mental position that talking about the draft is not so out of whack. Other posters think we should not be allowed to still talk about Cinci game, as if doing so will "disturb the force" and make us lose to Denver. This just in: what us, the fans, focus and talk on, has absolutely zero impact on what will happen on the field. It cracks me up that some don't realize this.

Pop and coach have different IP's I already checked.

And we still have a game this weekend. Talk about the draft when the of season starts.
